Tools and sporting equipment all designed for small hands. There are few perks but it's difficult to overlook the obvious downsides to being outside of the average. I am at least glad I'm not shorter than average.

dont taller people die off faster then shorter people.
10 footer dead at 17, 9 footer at 22, etc.
2 people in the exact same shape the heart has to work harder in the taller person rather then the shorter so statistically the avg death age would decrease with height to a certain # then reverse?

Getting asked that question is another downside No, I never found interest in it. Owning in volleyball is pretty fun though.

I'm just shy of 6'2", and I like my height, but:

Girls over 5'3 are unattractive. < 5' and I am in love!

Midgets are for drunken sex orgies, not long-term relationships.

AMEN!. I used to wear 30x34s or even 28x34s. Stores just aren't built for people that are tall and skinny. (I've gotten to the point where 32x34s fit well for me, which is good, those are much more common then 30x34s or 28x34s)

I'm only 6' and couldn't imagine the annoyances that people taller than me would have. Just thinking about doing trivial things like washing up bottles and all the misc pieces of baby bottles hunkered over a sink makes my back shiver in pain. Shoveling snow. Trying to wedge myself into an airplane. Get my legs comfortably into the drivers seat of a car. Ect.

Then trying to find clothes halfway tailored to fit you. I'm 6' and a lean 170 and finding clothes long enough for my limbs without looking like a freaking poncho is a challenge. Add another 4" of height with a similar build and you may as well forget about shopping at any normal stores. Bleh.

Then you have to worry about light fixtures, low ceilings as you go down stairs, getting in and out of a shower + fitting under the shower head. Uhg.

No thank you. 6'2" wouldn't be too bad. Anything taller and unless you could capitalize on your height through athletics I'd want no part of it.

add Left Handed to that list. I am 6'4" and left handed...i'm a walking death trap.

6'3" and left handed here, too.

However, since I was a teenager I determined that there are no significant downsides to being "tall" (i.e. over 6', but not over, say, 6'5").

It's really hard to work out the logistics and physics if you ever get invited to a midget orgy.

Stop. Stop right there. There will be no "Do you play basketball?" questions in this thread. It's enough to give me the shakes.

My wife is 5'10". I'm the shortest man that she ever dated and I'm only half an inch taller than her. We're having a baby girl soon, but she's worried that our daughter will end up tall. Apparantly tall women have a confidence issue, as most boys discout taller women for dating. Thus, tall women are stuck in that bracket for looking at men that are taller than them. Meeting a good guy and being ignored or relegated to 'friend' status before you could say 'Hi' would probably suck. Meh. I'll teach my daughter some dirty jujitsu if I have to. She can collect the cute runts like action figures. That should help.
