Really? Granted I read it back in junior high and it was one of the earlier fantasy books I read, I actually really liked it. I wouldn't recommend reading the trilogy that follows, as that is how I felt about them (especially after reading the Lord of the Rings). Sword of Shannara was still ok, but Elfstones and Wishsong were really that way. Of course you do have to keep in mind that they might seem cliche now, but they were written quite a while ago (although not First King).
The Word and Void trilogy was enjoyable, but it's pretty cliche too.
As for me, I finally picked up Confessor (final book of Sword of Truth). Haven't started reading it yet, but I'll be glad to be done with the series, and its still at least mildly enjoyable. The book itself is weird, its taller than normal. After that, I don't know what I'll read.
I read Playing for Pizza (John Grisham) a little while back. My stepdad liked it a lot but I didn't find it all that good. Decent light reading but definitely not as good as I was hoping from Grisham. Its basically Mr. Baseball, only football and Italy. I didn't like the ending either.
Going through a phase where I don't know what I feel like reading and kinda don't feel like reading much.
