Bogleheads Guide To Investing

the next book will be The Last Patriot by Brad Thor. I've loved all of the earlier books in the series. Looking forward to this one alot.

Reader's Digests from the 1930s and 1940s.
Pretty interesting material, plus there were no ads in the magazine back then. 0_o
You get a variety of war stories, foreign policy discussion, and stuff on 'new' technologies like radar and jet engines.
And who wouldn't like articles such as "What Nazi Tourists Think of America" from 1938?

These are much preferred over a typical history book. I'm learning a lot.

Last Patriot was EXCELLENT. Have you read any Vince Flynn?

Martin Amis - Yellow Dog Certainly not his best work, but still an enjoyable read with some of the typically great Amis wordsmithing.

I liked Yellow Dog a lot. It was widely panned, but a crappy Amis book is better than any Stephen King or <insert grocery store author here> book. I read House of Meetings about 4 books ago and it was very good as well... although the critics hated it as well.

Currently reading Great Expectations - I have about 20 pages left, and it's been awesome. Finished The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson, which I would recommend. I'd like to read some of his Sci-Fi - the Mars Trilogy sounds very interesting.

Edit: Just started reading The Mists of Avalon. I'm on page one but my wife took the book so I'm neffing instead.
