Naked Grape wine... 5/7.6 of the bottle in one sitting probably.

I could still do the one-leg alphabet test. Too paranoid to attempt to damage liver further to see how far I could go.

Which of their wines?

What does "5/7.6" mean?

I understand this--I knew some people back in the day whose goal, usually, was to get piss drunk throughout an evening...which meant drinking ~18 Coors light throughout a baseball game and then reruns of several Adam Sandler movies.

like, every night.

I never understood the rationality behind going with 12-18 Coors for 6-7 hours, when you can just drink ~6-8 craft brews at 8%+ alcohol and get shit-faced much faster.

well, for beer people anyway

When I was young and with friends we would pool our money and get as many cases of natural light as we could.

For weddings, tailgates, special events ect. I go with bloody marys or jack and coke. Use to be a straight tequila guy but the stuff was killing me over time.

Just Yuengling Light.

Nothing fancy, nice having Yuengling available locally cheap.

I'm from PA. Wish I could get Yuengling out here in Colorado. I think those guys could blow up if they just had the capacity to serve the entire country.

Probably one of the reasons they haven't is they still seem to value quality over quantity.

I'm sure they still make plenty of money as is.

I remember growing up in the 60/70's in Indiana, Coor's from Colorado was considered a bit of a rare esoteric thing at the time, as it was not sold there then. I think there was some kind of pasteurization issue.

This, right now. Holy shit is it delicious, and not too spendy. pick it up if you can find it.

How is the Trader Joe's Vintage this year? I haven't tried it since the 2013-14 season, I think. It was so good at one time: $3.99 per bottle and made from grains. Or, it tasted so. I used to buy cases of it. But by that time, it was going up a dollar each year and tasting more an more extracty like all of their brews

and before anyone complains about $1/year increase, recall that these are 64?oz bottles. going from 4 bucks to near 7 bucks...well it is 7 bucks here, is a big deal, obviously. Especially when the quality drops like it does.

Say, Duvel is pretty good, but really kinda "swilly" compared to it's class, and they used to be a "value" at $5.99. When the TD's Festival came around at $3.99, and was great--that was YUUUGE!

It's still 5.99 a bottle here. We buy 5-6 cases each year. So far '12 is the best of the last 15 years. We had an '11 lastnight and it was fantastic! I only have a case of them left, so sad!

Natty Light to Coors--you have matured!

I knew another guy that drank, either:

1: Captain Morgan, straight, and never less than an entire 5th per sitting.
2: Rolling Rock, room temperature. He would put that in a cabinet to warm up if it was purchased from a cooler. He loooooved Rolling Rock, but only if it was warm.

I knew a guy that would actually do the room temperature thing with Natty Light.

I just knew him and he mentioned it at work to a few people at the time, not something I would want to be around myself.

Had a glass of local pinot noir with dinner. Was good with my fried chicken cheese fries.

My housemate and I drained a bottle and a half of Eroica reisling between about 8 and about 10:30. Hooray for Costco Liquor.

(We also had a plate of broiled tilapia and broccoli. It was a late dinner.)

But I'm still a little "relaxed."

I used to like Schmitt Sohne Riesling with food myself, has been so long since I've drank any, the bottle has even changed.

Riesling is a great food wine, especially with fish or dessert, it is pretty sweet though.

I actually drink Ginger Ale, milk, or coffee a lot of the time.

I'm not drinking anything fancy atm.

Nice bottle of 2002 Jordan cab I picked up a couple weeks ago. Still wish I could have found the prime ribeye cap's at Costco. Would have went to well with this.
