Psh, can you say much when Lakewood Brewing is in Dallas area? They are all about their lactose stouts.

Personally though... I FARKING LOVE Martin House and would love to have an equivalent here in Houston

Yeah, Lakewood has about a million variants of their Temptress milk stout. Martin House is definitely hit or miss but I usually have a good time there.

You've got B-52 and Ingenious down in Houston. Be sure to check them out.

Yeah, Lakewood has about a million variants of their Temptress milk stout. Martin House is definitely hit or miss but I usually have a good time there.

Hit or Miss?! You kidding me? I love me some Martin House barrel aged (if you couldn't tell).

I mean they are right up there with Prairie, Firestone, and Avery IMO.

I can't say either are really that notable to me from a barrel aged perspective? You have some good reccomendations from them? I haven't been going much out of my way to get stuff - and I just haven't seen much from Ingenious or B52 in stores much.

Can some one tell me what the newer fully mixed and ready to drink margaritas in cans taste like? Or the new ones in what look like beer shaped bottles. I stopped drinking a little over a year ago right when I was going to try one of them for the first time.

As you can tell I've actually started amassing somewhat of a collection in my closet This is because I have started the practice of whenever I see something I think I will like I always ensure I buy 2... One to have immediately, and one to store for later in case it's awesome

I honestly have the hardest time finding Firestone Walker stuff more than anything - I actually bought most of those bottles when I was in Chicago. I have yet to be able to try Parabola

By the way, I'm going to be in the Dallas / FW area next week for an interview - what do you reccomend for the best bottle shops where I can get stuff like Martin House boxes and Firestone? So far on my list is a place called Lonestar I believe. I know Martin house just released Acheron again and I really wanted to make sure I grab some.

Halls Wine & Spirits in Colleyville usually has good stuff. Lonestar Beverages definitely has a good selection. They also run two growler bars/bottle shops called Taps & Caps in FW and Lewisville. Webb Chapel Beer & Wine in Carrollton has a good selection as well. You can of course check out all the Specs and Total Wine locations.

Stuff like Parabola disappears the day of release usually. Same with MH Acheron but you might have some luck with random Kroger’s or whatever. Central Market also carries plenty of decent beer and always gets the local specialty releases.
