I mentioned a spruce I need to take down this fall, and said I was looking for a backpack to hold fuel and bar oil to refuel in-tree cause my little saw has small tanks that would run out. Someone suggested using plastic pint bottles in my back pockets. Great idea I thought. I was impatient, so I went yesterday hoping to find something good in a plastic hip flask, but I settled for vodka, and Southern Comfort.
I have both bottles in the freezer. Taking it as a shot, the Smirnoff isn't the worst thing ever. It goes down quick, and the aftertaste is/ok/. Sipping is another story. It just isn't that interesting. It's like akvavit without the interesting flavors. I'm interested enough to buy another bottle made in the vodka belt, but I'm not expecting much, and suspect it'll be the last vodka I ever get.
After the vodka's gone, I'll try the Southern Comfort. As a kid, I like it mixed with soda water. To me, it tasted like a less sweet 7&7. Haven't had it since I was kid, so I'm interested in seeing what my adult opinion is. I'll probably think it sucks :^D
edit:
I was just looking at my pic, and thought "Is 375ml a pint!?". It isn't. It's 12.68oz. That's enough for two fills of my saw. Including the initial fill, that should be enough to get the tree limbed going up, and blocked down til I need to switch to a bigger saw.
