From a few nights ago. Wife's family had a reunion in Louisville, KY. Home of Bourbon. We did a few tours, these are from Old Forester. So many bourbon distillers are there, it was a good day. 115 proof is no joke.

Left is a version of their Manhattan, Mint Julep, and their own cocktail called Pride, for Pride month. Was pretty cool. Had something blue in it (she told me but I forgot), when they poured the rest it changed to pink.

I'll be honest, I don't even know where to buy Ingenious. I have never seen any of their stuff in stores - and I'm far too lazy to drive up to the actual brewery to try and buy it.

I was lucky to have found someone on a Facebook group that was trying to get rid of his stash.

Have some 4 roses small batch, I'm not really a whisky guy, usually like stuff like hawian punch, concord grape juice, sour cherry juice, or imperial stouts ... but, we had a half day today and fireworks show tonight starts in about an hour, so I figured I'd have some bourbon.

Had myself a bottle of Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR). I've been an alcoh... beer aficionado for a while and have always stayed away from PBR due to its reputation as a shitty weak hipster beer. I've been getting tired of all the hopped to the moon IPA everything that is all the rage nowadays and finally gave in and picked up a six pack.

It was shockingly good. Had a kind of malt liquor Mickey's/Old English sort of sweetness to it. Delicious, unpretentious, cheap, drinkable beer. It was nice.

I really like this as a generic "beer". Fairly cheap, and tasty enough. AFAIC, it's the benchmark for American commodity beer.

i am joyfully partaking of two delicious craft beers - but not craft in the sense of obscure and impossible to find next week, rather,
Brewdog "Punk IPA"
and
Williams Brothers "Joker"

both incredibly hoppy and tasty India Pale Ales, but with a Lager-y twist. Bets of both worlds.

No chance of you finding any in your part of the world. That's what you get for being traitorous, queen-hating rebel scum.

-I've heard a lot about Yuengling being the best macrobrew around but as far as I can tell it is not sold in the Western US. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, who knows.

It's regional, only sold in some states. Ohio/Indiana and east of there ....
Too much competition out west, they know they couldn't compete

Grabbed a handle of Eagle Rare 10yr bourbon today and a few bottles of Pliny. Will be a great weekend.
