It's crazy how beer alcohol percentages have taken off. Anything under double digits doesn't mentally register as high alcohol content anymore.

Yeah I know ... anything other than a very dark heavy beer @ over 10% however starts to not taste like beer anymore to a degree to me.

For a while when the craze first got underway I went for the strongest I could find but now I'm back to not paying a lot of attention provided its in the area of 5-6%.

Surprisingly easy to drink. Was expecting a hot smoke bomb, but there is little burn and the smoke takes a back seat to big traditional bourbon vanilla and caramel flavors. Great high proof pour.

I was at the store last week looking for some Cognac and the selection was pretty abysmal as it basically consisted of Hennessy when on the shelf below a bottle of E&J Spiced Brandy caught my eye. It's pretty good with notes of cherry and vanilla with a little extra spice at the end. It kind of sounds strange but it almost has a Dr. Pepper flavor to it. This is my first forte into Brandy but so far I'm liking it.
