So we looking at a boilermaker here or what?
We had a great dinner in Galena BITD. On our way to CheeseHead land to stay in a silo converted to a romantic suite at a BnB. Before enduring the impressive mindfuck that is... the house on the rock. Then MTBing cross country to an Apple orchard. We loved it there. I LOL'd when Red Letter Media started drinking New Glarus beer on set. There was no microbrewery there yet, but the bakery was chef's kiss. I have no doubt the wine from Galena is delictible too.We recently visited Galena Illinois and while we were there did some tastings at a couple of the wineries.
Tonight's bottle is from Galena Cellars and it is their 2021 Chambourcin Reserve. It's a good bottle with hints of grapes and finishes with hints of smoke and it's really red.
FYI I am NOT the wine drinker in the family my wife is so my observations above may be biased.

If your winters were not so brutal for a Floridian like myself, we'd be neighbors.I am drinking New Glarus Totally Naked right now. I happen to live in orchard country in southwest cheeseland.
Sounds like you had a great time. Do you remember were you stayed back then? We were at the DeSoto House and I'll be honest it was a trip. We had a great meal at Fried Green Tomatoes along Main Street. We had a great dinner in Galena BITD. On our way to CheeseHead land to stay in a silo converted to a romantic suite at a BnB. It's been 30 years. I don't recall any names of businesses. We were there about this time of year. Beautiful rolling hills and 50s for highs during the days.Sounds like you had a great time. The beer is really good I take it?
Sounds incredibleOpened another bottle from Galena Cellars this afternoon. This one is their Petite Pearl.
This is a collaboration with the local Blaum Brothers bourbon distillery in Galena.
They aged a French-American style wine in bourbon barrels to balance the fruit and bring out a smooth finish with lingering bourbon notes.
