Glenmorangie Ealanta - just picked up a bottle this morning and will try a wee dram tonight. It has been voted the best whisky of 2013.

It is definitely much stronger than the Woodfords. I looked it up and I think it's maybe 20% higher alcohol content? Yowzer.

The first couple of sips took me aback, but once I settled in, I really loved the flavour.

I still drank it neat, but just very small sips and let it wash over me. Very impressive stuff. This bottle should last me a while!

Enjoy! I've tried Glenmorangie's 12 and 15 and neither really did much for me, but that's just a matter of personal taste. This one sounds pretty unique. Report back!

Glad you enjoyed it...I love the mouthfeel, it's very satiny, almost like butter. My first time was last christmas, my sister bought my dad a bottle and we tried it, so he poured me a double neat at 8:30 in the morning. I think I was wrecked by 9.

Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale tonight. Probably my favorite fall brew.

My wife meant to buy me Sam Adams Octoberfest (the former King of Fall in my household) but accidentally grabbed the Pumpkin Ale. A damn fine accident if you ask me

Winter Lager is actually my go-to seasonal in the (... wait for it ...) winter. Very crisp with that hint of spice. I didn't realize it was out yet. I'll have to go pick some up.

Heh, yeah, it does not take much! It is very smooth and buttery, it just has a bit more kick to it than the Woodford's. I also drink it much, much slower. Very good stuff though.

Johnny Walker Double Black

How is the Double Black? I can't stand the regular Black, but I love the Green, Gold and obviously the Blue (it's like magical butter).

I keep hearing the Green is going away but if you're looking for a blend I think it just might be the best bang for your buck :thumbsup:
