Diet Citrus Drop, Kroger's DMD knockoff. $0.69 for 2L is hard to pass up.
Ice water. It's been kind of hot out.
2 cans Welch's 100% grape juice concentrate
1.25 lbs white sugar, dissolved in water
1 tsp yeast nutrient
1 tsp acid blend
add additional water to 1 gallon
1 packet Montrachet wine yeast
Cover with napkin, ferment 30 days, adding airlock after first week of fermentation. Rack off of the lees, stabilize, degas, bottle.
Mine came out at 14.3% ABV, for under $6 a gallon. Surprisingly not bad, light in body, fairly acidic; somewhat comparable to a Chianti. After an evening quaffing the stuff, my fellow drinkers' one-word review was "dangerous".
Lightweights.

Diet Pepsi but tonight is kind of special. I'm making my own ice cubes. I haven't made ice cubes in years. I found the tray in the cupboard above the fridge and said "what the heck", threw caution to the wind, and set out on my adventure. I'll let y'all know how they turn out.
