Actually my wife has never been to The Yearling and we have some relatives up there we haven't seen in a long time, might be making a weekend out of it and going up north a bit to it soon.

She seemed interested.

Wegmans brand French roast coffee. <$6 for 33oz, and it's by far the best discount coffee I've had. Of course it isn't as good as deluxe brands, but it's easily as good, if not better than the major supermarket players.

Went out for Southern food last night so I was tempted to try a Dixie Lager to accompany my fried chicken. I'm glad I live in the Pacific Northwest where shit like that is not considered a standard. Worst beer I've ever had that wasn't malt liquor, and honestly I think a 40 of Mickey's would have been preferable. Don't know if I'll drink tonight, but if I do, I'll have to go high-end to erase all memory of last night's shameless prostitution of my dignity.

Have been trying all the Texas whiskeys coming out lately. I like it, a bit more complex than my current fav, TX whiskey. (Albeit, TX is more like Canadian whiskey - smooth, sweet finish, easier drinkability)

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Over a year in the making, this American Wild Ale is fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and aged with red-raspberry puree in Oak barrels for over 1 year, then bottle conditioned in champagne bottles.

Nice and red with a light pink head that lasts a short time. nice and tart with a hint of leathery barnyardish raspberry. Nice and dry, with a long lasting finish. Just the slightest burn.

Went by a club that has good beer that was packed that had a Ramones cover band and didn't even bother to buy a beer.

The beer is great there, but didn't even get one tonight as I didn't think the band was worth watching myself, people do that I guess just to be there, I came home to drink Miller Lite and watch real Ramones on the Rig

The place was packed wall to wall, even if they were substandard, so *shrug*

I can't remember the Anandtech member that suggested Midnight Moon shine Apple pie in the freezer but you sir are a genius. It was the best tasting liqueur I've had in a long time! I've drink'en Midnight Moon before and I'd like to give my own suggestions. The Cherry and Cranberry versions go awesome with Sprite and 7-UP.
