People who don't like stout are totally messing up stout for people who do .Had myself a NOLA style Coffee Stout last night. More like the dankest fucking dark ale I ever had, straight up smelled like they brewed weed into it.
That is a very valid point!IMO "weed-infused" stout is perfectly fine!
Otherwise I agree.
I'm almost always disappointed to some extent with "weird" beers. I had a coffee version of Guinness at the brewery(USA Open Gate), but I don't know if it was that one. It was good, but I don't know where it fits. I wouldn't want to drink more than one, and I wouldn't want to drink it when I want "a beer". It's just it's own weird thing, that doesn't really go with anything except as a dessert. I'd usually rather have ice cream as a dessert, but if I want alcohol, it's hard to go wrong with a nice brandy or scotch. Maybe if I'm feeling fancy, some porto.People who don't like stout are totally messing up stout for people who do .
It doesn't want marshmallow, or peanut butter in.
Maybe a slight background of coffee or chocolate is ok but you have to start off with a good stout first and not overpower that flavour.
Absolutely every beer I've had with "stuff" in would have been better without the stuff.I'm almost always disappointed to some extent with "weird" beers.
