It occurred to me that while I have a lot of free time on my hands this summer - lots of you other folks don't have the same luxury.

I sit at my computer most days entering cost and quantity information for construction projects. Counting bricks gets old pretty quick, so you need a diversion.

I barely get any work so I learned earlier in the summer to "lengthen" small tasks into day long affairs. Like right now, preparing a presentation that should take about half an hour. I started in the morning, and it's still not done by the end of the day. Oh... and I wait for e-mails/phone calls from people with real jobs...

I spend the vast majority of my day surfing AT / WoW forums and waiting fro servers to crash.

we're in a brand new facility, so no servers in here are more than 4 months old... needless to say, not much crashes.

Hey! I work at a NOC too.. I do pretty much the same thing.. Wait for stuff to crash... ANd post in OT the rest of the day lol...
