Small story: I was sitting at a light with my windows down and two vapors were smoking something that smelled like cherries and honey mixed with mold and it was giving me a headache. I rolled up my windows, and the guy driving looked at me like I was the problem, and then flipped me off.

What's even more disturbing is that I realized long ago that smoke or vape-smoke that I smell has most-likely passed through someone's lungs. It really raises awareness to how much local air is recycled when winds aren't above 10mph outdoors. I've seen that the latest batch of e-cigarettes the're making these days actually create a lot more exhaust than the first ones they were making. I'm not sure if that's by design (more smoke = more liquid = more visible = more fragrant = more advertising)... Even with my windows up and my car AC set to recirculate inside air, I can typically smell the vape exhaust when sitting at some traffic lights around here. I think cigarettes and ecigarettes sales prey on the poor idiot bastards that live in the South. I don't know any intelligent people that do that stuff. None.From my experience, most smokers (of any type) genuinely don't realize how bad that shit smells, how far the spread is, how long it lingers, or how much of a headache it causes. They probably assumed you were being a priss or 'trying to send a message'. I grew up in a household of very heavy smokers and since I got out of that environment, I can get a near-instant headache from smelling cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, I can also pick it up from what I feel should be a VERY long distance, like 20+ feet without wind, 50+ feet downwind.

True. In high school, one of my sister's best friends lived with her mother....who was a serious chain-smoker. Her best friend smelled like stale smoke...which is far more bitter smelling than actual smoke. My only gripe about the smell of vaping liquid is what I was saying earlier...the realization that if I smell it, it's probably passed through someone else's lungs... Not that we don't breathe used air already, it's just more apparent when you can smell it.Vape smoke leaves off a very slight scent upon exhaling but it's very brief and fleeting. I've been vaping in my apartment for over a year and nobody smells a damn thing when they walk in and roommate smells nothing. Unlike cigarette smoke it does not adhere to fabrics and clothes and stuff. After quitting regular cigs, the smell of cigarette smoke is heavy and disgusting. Also it lingers, a lot. Walk into the apartment of someone who smokes inside and it will be very strong and obvious.
