What are you targeting on Black Friday

Yea, they now wait in line the day before.

Also, in the last few years, I noticed that there's a trend in that stores are opening earlier and earlier each year.

6am used to be the standard with a few at 5am. Now, everyone is at 5am, and quite a few are at 4am.

IIRC, there's even a handful of stores opening at 3am. Why not just open at midnight?

All the deals where in Nov of 2008 when business's where freaking about the economy. I doubt if shit will get cheaper then that time period.

I haven't seen too many great deals this year except for on TVs which I don't need.

I'll be staying up for amazon though. If the video game deals are like last year it'll be worth it.

I would rather order from Amazon tan wait in a line and fight with someone else, can't wait for Monday

Best Buy will have NBA Live 10 for $34.99 and I may get that. They will also have NHL 10 and Madden 10 for that price but I have no interest in those right now.

Depends how much your time is worth.

Depends on what you're buying too, 3 years ago GF and I stood out BB from about 10PM till they opened at 5AM. We saved about $1,100 on 2 TV's and a 2 22" Monitors over the cheapest prices we could find online. 7 hours to save $1,100 is fucking awesome, I don't see how anyone could say that wasn't worth it. She brought a chair + her Nintendo DS and just chilled. Even if she only needed 1 TV, 7 hours for $500 (most she saved on any 1 item) would have made it more than worth it.

Not true IMHO, last years Black Friday was by far the worst I've seen. Even the TV deals weren't the best, besides TV's there wasn't much that great. I thought it would be awesome but it was the first year I didn't want to go because there wasn't shit.

Sometimes its worth it at least a few years ago it was at Frys. Last years ad was a dud though. I know a lot of sheep still waited in line.

Yeah, I went to Fry's at 4 AM two years ago (an hour before opening). It worked out really well as I just wanted the smaller deals so once I got in I was out in 20 minutes because there was no line. Last year's B&M deals sucked though as Amazon had the best deals overall. This year is looking to be better because I think most of the stores had already just about finalized their BF strategy when the economy tanked last year. The deals seem to be a little better this year so I'm hopeful for Fry's and Amazon this year.

Last year I slept in, stayed home - nothing I really needed, and money was tight. However, we ran out of milk so I went to the supermarket. I was stunned to discover some really good deals on food and random stuff. Did really well. Plus, the place was empty the day after thanksgiving.

I may head back to the same place this year. We're bound to run out of something.
