What are your expectations for Jurassic Park 3?

Jurassic Park 1 - Orginal, good graphics, desecent story line
Jurassic Park 2 - crap, should of stopped at #1.
Jurassic Park 3 - crap, just added some blood n' guts to further try to get people to watch it.

The people at ILM are gods when it comes to animation. They pioneered EVERYTHING - they know what they are doing.


Part 2 sucked since the t-rex came into the city...that was just stupid. Another dumb part was the girl kicking the raptor. I had the urge to walk out of the theater after seeing that. Would be nice if they made it semi-realistic in which case the raptor would have gutted that annoying little sh*t. However, the rest I thought was okay...when they were on the island.

JP1 was great....I never get bored of watching that movie.

JP3 looks dark like JP1, and I hope it all takes place on the island. if it does, I don't think it will be half bad. Was it just me, or did I not see any annoying little kids in the trailer? I can only hope they don't throw in little annoying POS kids again.

If JP2 had even REMOTELY followed the storyline of the book, it would have been better. The story in the movie wasn't even close to the book.
I'm looking foward to JP3, though. Anyone know if there's a JP3 book?

Yep after reading the lost world I was looking forward to the movie, and was grossly disappointed, the trailer for 3 looks pretty cool though and I'm sure I'll see it.

I have no doubt that the guys at ILM are gods, but it just doesn't look like they put their best effort into this. Every scene that has a CG dino in it in the trailer is easily identifiable. When they're running with all of the hadrosaurs, the dinos stand out like a veritable pack of sore thumbs.

BTW, didn't ILM (along with Winston Studios) do the effects for Congo? hmm...yeah.

Hey Denis, from what I've heard, the Spinosaur and the TRex have a bit of a tiff.

Oh, and I will see this movie. Even if it is horrible, I will still secretly love it, because they are dinosaurs.

I used to hate JP2, but I got a deal on the double set that came out on DVD, so I watched it again and like it now... The movie is still uneven, but it's got a fun vibe to it - until we get to the tacked-on adventure in San Francisco, then it's just Spielberg wanting to have a T-Rex stomping around the city - and makes a nearly unbelievable story into a totally unbelievable farce...

As for JP3, we'll know when we get there... But I'm not holding out any hope...

I want to see more dino's fighting each other, like the T-rex vs the tri-? (that short four legged thing with two long spikes).

JP2: I love that whole take on the godzilla rippoff with the T-rex chasing the asians. Then that scene were he's in the back yard and he eats fito. That was just classic. I saw JP2 at the Imax theater though which has good sound and a big picture. That might of enchanced the whole thing.

The first Jurassic Park movie had some of the biggest marketing hype I've ever seen for a movie. A year before the movie came out, all they showed was the mosquito in the amber and talked about its DNA and what could be cloned from the blood, or something similar. It had an almost ominous presense to it, which I think made it seem like a much cooler movie. They should have hyped JP3 like they did the first one but it does look better than the second part, I hope it is! I loved the first one.

I hear for jurassic park 4 they will be cloning and filming actual dinosaurs as cgi was proving to be too complicated.
