I enjoy the flavor of eggs (usually scrambled or fried) drizzled with maple syrup.

anytime I make chicken noodle soup from scratch, I serve it with mashed potatoes. I have been told this is weird. I think it is delicious.

Do you combine the two ingredients at all or do you just serve them next to each other? I could see mashed potatoes with chicken noodle soup as gravy being pretty good.
Makes me think of one of my dad's favorite comfort foods - mashed potatoes with a soft-boiled egg on top. He makes the potatoes into a "volcano" mound with an indentation in the top and pours the egg in. Very yummy

I serve the soup over the mashed potatoes, like its a gravy.
Other weird food combo I just thought of giant Dill Pickle and fountain Coca-Cola! Yummy!
