What is wintergreen flavor?

You've never had wintergreen hard tack candy? I always did like the spicy hard tack candy flavors over the fruit flavors. My grandmother used to make it every xmas. Some of the flavors would make your eyes water while you were making the batch.

I'm pretty sure wintergreen toothpastes is also a thing. I always liked it more than peppermint.

I don't like wintergreen much at all. I wouldn't mind tasting parts of the plant, and maybe using it to lightly flavor things, but I'm not a fan when it's used for food, and the flavor's cranked to 11.. I do have some toothpaste I like(Euthymol) that has it, but that's a temporary experience, and falls under the category of "medicine", and not "food".

Haven't tried lime zest, what do you do with it?

I have lemon and orange zest in the freezer. I bought a zest grater recently, super glad I did.

Cocktails. And a couple Hispanic dishes. I use it in the braising liquid when making beef or pork for tacos. I use a bit when making lime coleslaw (for said tacos).

Chocolate's good. Have to cut the list off at a reasonable size though, otherwise the answer doesn't mean much. I used to laugh at my daughter and all the "best friends" she had growing up. They were all best friends! :^D

Regarding chocolate, as a kid I wasn't picky, although I did develop a special liking for Cadbury chocolate bars (with nuts), that I'd buy at a pharmacy when I was ~12. They are English in origin, and I guess that presages my dislike for virtually all American chocolate. Some might be half decent, but Europeans in my experience make the best chocolate. I once bought an 8 ounce bar of Hershey's and returned it to the supermarket demanding a refund, it was so awful.

Certain flavors of Altoids or Ice Breakers mints are wintergreen flavored. Other options are wintegreen life savers or wintergreen certs. Wintegreen typically has a menthol flavor to it. If you have ever had it you would instantly recognize it.
