what are your ideas on stem cell research?

I think stem cell research is wrong. I don't believe in killing embryos, even if they were going to be thrown away anyway.

My reasoning? Because if you "give an inch, they'll take a mile." I'm afraid of the abuse that could come of it.

However, I think Bush's policy is a happy medium. Don't kill anymore, just use what we already have.

This subject brings up almost as many knee jerk reactions as abortion. Ignorance abounds on both sides.

Sarah - before you make such a blanket statement, please explain where MOST stem cells come from. When you have done that, please explain to me why we should ban all research.

abuse? from what? there are more than enough embryos from the fertility clinics, so there's *no* demand for embryos. if you make dinner for a friend, are you scared he's going to eat everything in your house?

it's a stupid medium if you ask me. it leaves the scientists with insufficient stem cells.... so what's the point?! that's like giving cops half a gun.
