What AV's good now?

I don't understand why people use Malwarebytes with another anti-virus. This could cause issues with two scanners running at the same time. Best would be to run your browser in Sandboxie.

My job all day long, is to remove malware from peoples computers. One of the policies at my work is to remove any other antivirus or anti-malware program other than ours from the customers pc. And that at least for the particular AV I work for, running mbam premium and ours at the same time makes the PC crawl. And I am supposed to remove it. I cannot justify MBAM real time scanning(premium or trial) and any other AV together regardless of what they say. In real life this makes a pc slow and is totally unnecessary. I have years of continuous experience on this subject.

MBAM(premium or trial, the one that runs in the background) + norton or mcafee or avast(paid version) or avg = crawling pc

And I have still found malware on these PCs that have MBAM and another AV. So its pointless to bog down the pc like that for the mild protection that realtime AV provides.

Lol the antivirus compatibility list is just a list of all the major AVs. And its not true. My company is one of the ones listed and WE do NOT consider ourselves compatible.

The BEST thing to do, what most technicians do, is to have one good antivirus running. And have backups.
Making the pc super slow "just in case" is not a wise thing.

Did you miss the part about setting exclusions?

I run Eset Smart Security and MBAM paid version and I have no issues with performance. Although eset runs out in 11 days so not sure what I am going to use next.

I like clamwin and clam sentinel, for a power user. A bit over aggressive at times, but low on resources and just seems to work. I rather have the minor annoyance of quarantining legit files than letting a serious problem slip through.
