What band plays bluesy guitar?

Mostly for the guitar solos and all... what other songs (from other bands) are similar to this one? Led Zeppelin has what I want, except I want something simpler..

Listen to BB King. Almost the exact same style, and I can tell BB was John's biggest influence (although I notice he's playing finger style like Albert King).

Toys in the Attic is a classic.

Chris Whitley's music is a blues + kitchen sink mix, check out Living With THe Law (including "Big Sky COuntry") and Terra Incognita (a little more grunge, "Cool Wooden Crosses"), or Dirt Floor for acoustic ("Indian Summer").

Or John Mayer Trio... I just downloaded a JM3 album where he does Stormy Monday, Shake, Rattle and Roll, and Voodoo Chile. Unbelievable. I've been to 5 John Mayer concerts and going to 3 more this summer. Most amazing live show you can go to pretty much. Highly recommend some of you JM haters "take you girlfriends" to see it. Guaranteed amazing night.

Tragedy? Meh. They're both good so it doesn't matter.

I just happened to catch on the TV that JM and Ben Folds were going to be in Raleigh so I took off down to the ticket office (fvck Ticket Bastard).

I could have sworn that I heard that James Morrison was going to be there too, but I could be wrong. If it were true, that would be an AWESOME show.

James Morrison is joining the tour towards the end. Pretty much every show starting on July 20th and later, he'll be opening up with Ben Folds.

The Chicago show gets to see Robert Randolph open. Him and his band is amazing. Never seen a better slide guitarist.
