Lately I've started drinking a lot of Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale as my kind of standard fridge stocker at home. Good alcohol content, hoppy but not too hoppy, not too light but not too heavy, and fairly affordable for a case, at least compared to other microbrews of a similar nature.

I'm more into microbreweries from around here like Unibroue (more commercial than the others though), Siboire, Dunham microbrewery (one of the best APA so far), Pit Caribou (love their reds), Les Trois Mousquetaires (almost every one they make) and Le Naufrageur (again, great reds, whites and blonds). All awesome beers!

I'll have to check that one out. I'm trying to find a good brown ale and they seem to be tough to find. Most that I've tried don't really taste like much.

Harpoon IPA is my current go to beer. It's got a good amount of hops flavor but it's got an undercurrent of fruit flavor which makes it more refreshing to me than your typical IPA.

You'd love Dunham's APA. It got lots of bitterness, hoopy and the grapefruit at the end is heaven! Served ice cold it's a hell of a beer!

I still have some left at homw...hmmm gonna get a couple tonight with some board games

When I want something special, I like to reach for anything Ommegang, Bells or Stone Brewing Co. makes.

Must be you live somewhere in central/southern NY. Brewery Ommegang is in Cooperstown and I used to deliver to it (and it offices in Cooperstown) when I worked for DHL. I love their beers most especially their signature Abby Ale. I see they have brewed a dark beer called Art of Darkness. I have to try it.

I like trying different beers, but Hacker-Pschorr has been my favorite for the past 15 years.

Good stuff. I like their Dark Weisse the best but i cant find it around here. Just the one in the pic you posted is available.

Yeah I don't see their Dark Weisse around here either. I do see their Oktoberfest quite regularly though, which is a darker weisse and also excellent. I still prefer their regular Hefe Weisse I posted above though.

I don't really drink bear.
All I've had is cheap mass produced garbage beer, and spotted cow.
Needless to say they all sucked.

I actually just got back from American Craft Brew Fest Boston. I tried (as far as I know) every stout and porter there. Think that sums up what I like. I also like wheat beers.

As far as what I order when I go out: Guinness Draught, Left Hand Milk Stout or Shock Top (its a decent wheat beer, and more importantly, dirt cheap).

I have also started homebrewing, both stouts and wheat beers.

In the bottle yes but not on draft. In my area we have "craft" brew exchanges that allow you to fill growlers but the cost is prohibitive in general.

I support my local breweries as much as I can because they fill growlers for cheap and have awesome beer(Holy City Brewery plug) but overall I can brew a damn good porter for $30 that gets me 5 gallons. Versus 1.5 gallons via growler from my local brewery for $30.

I do get growlers from local breweries but it is to get a variety on occasion. However, my everyday drinking beer is my homebrew just because it is so cheap and good quality.
