Just finished Wool omnibus. Why was it called Wool? Because they were pulling the wool over everyone's eyes?

Or simply that they use steal wool to clean the cameras outside. It's in how you want to interpret it. I took it the way you did...

if you liked it, you should read the Shift omnibus. It's a prequel to Wool. I actually enjoyed Shift more.

Just finished this.

The Last Days of Krypton

The Last Days of Krypton is the epic story of the destruction of the planet Krypton, an explosive event that sent Superman and his legacy to earth. Written by award-winning science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson, author of the international bestselling Dune prequels, The Last Days of Krypton tells of the marriage of Superman's parents, their struggle to save their planet, and the menace of General Zod, future arch-enemy of Superman. It's the story science fiction and Superman fans have been waiting for!

The Dark Knight meets the Man of Steel in Enemies & Allies—the thrilling story of the first-ever meeting between Batman and Superman, brilliantly imagined by New York Times bestselling author Kevin J. Anderson. One of today’s most popular writers pits the iconic superheroes against Lex Luthor and the Soviets—and each other—in a spellbinding story of destiny and duty set against the backdrop of America’s Cold War era.

Reading two things right now:

Guns, Germs, and Steel

This is a fantastic book that could be described as a "World Prehistory" course. Basically it tells you how humanity moved from ancient hunter-gatherer bands to acquire civilization and technology - and why the power/tech ended up where it did.

The Maze Runner (trilogy)

I'm most of the way through this trilogy. While I usually find juvenile books to be pretty enjoyable, I'm underwhelmed by these. I'm not really that fond of the characters. I have no plans to read the 4th prequel book or see the movie.

Still reading "Don Quixote"...but taking breaks and reading other books.

Right now reading "Summer of Beer and Whiskey: How Brewers, Barkeeps, Rowdies, Immigrants, and a Wild Pennant Fight Made Baseball America's Game". It's a really interesting read. It's really about the 1883 season in major-league "base ball" (it used to be two words, lol) and a bit of the history surrounding the game at the time. Very well written and engaging. Learning a lot about the foundations of baseball in this country. I recommend it for any sports or sports history fans.

Half a King by Joe Abercrombie
Just started it last night so I can't say how good it is yet but I really like his The First Law series so I have high hopes for this one. Just noticed there is a newer book set in the The First Law world I missed called Red Country that I'm going to have to go back and read now.

I quit "Don Quixote". Got about half way through it...I'm not going to finish reading something I find a chore, just to say I read it. At least not this time. Not my kind of book at all. Cervantes must have gotten paid per word.

I liked Don Quixote. Probably not your cup of tea.

I'm currently reading "Farewell to Arms" by Hemingway.

I just finished Shift. It was pretty good but I think Hugh Howey likes to torment his readers with
the slowness in which characters catch on to the obvious.

I'll have to order Dust.

Since I got the recommendation here to try The Iron Druid books by Kevin Herne I've read the first 6 books. I've enjoyed them a lot.

I then took a break from the series to read the second book in the Old Man's War, The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first book.

Tomorrow I figure I'll start the 7th book in the Iron Druid Shattered.
