Finished "The Unraveling" by Emma Sky. It was pretty good.
I think the next book after that I picked up was "
Last Stand - Surviving America's Collapse." I've only read one of these prepper-type series before, "299 Days," but this "Last Stand" series was WAY better, I thought. Mainly I thought the writing was better, even though I wasn't so sure at the start (grammar errors, which are fine when a character speaks like that, but not the actual plot writing). There's five books in the series and I read them all pretty quickly and couldn't put them down. I thought the last book wasn't quite as strong but overall they were pretty good.
So a few days ago I picked up another one, "
Escaping Home." So far I don't enjoy this one as much as "Last Stand" but it ain't terrible. Mainly I think there's far too much unnecessary detail included in the writing but I think I like it better than "299 Days" so far.
I guess these prepper-type novels are a guilty pleasure. I mainly stick to non-fiction, history, military, but I find I enjoy these "end of the world" prepper stories quite a bit.
