What brand makes the best laptops.

I know I'll get flamed like a drag queen for this but.......

Back when eMachines first came out with a mobile Athlon 64, they were the best deal around. They had a Radeon 9600. At the time that was the best graphics adapter you could get in a laptop.

Just went to eMachines site and they dont sell laptops any more. Too bad.
They were the first I saw and had a good price also.

I had a good experience with Dell and Toshiba notebook they are good. Right now I have Compaq it is so-so notebook if you are talking about windows os crash or bsod.
I always wanted IBM but they are bit too expensive for me.

IBM, SONY, Dell, Compac, HP are all good in my opinion. I personally would stay away from Toshiba.

A lot of people are stating IBM based on IBM's old rep, but you have to consider that they sold their laptop line to Lenovo of China. Will Lenovo keep up the same quality?
