Do you give them haircuts yourself? It is customary to have them cut so close? I actually prefer dogs with short cuts - plus with the no shedding, it sounds like a good option for me. What do you mean by no shedding? No hair on the carpet, on your clothers, etc?

you keep your schnauzer properly groomed, makes my schnauzer look bad

They just got their haircuts in the top two pictures, which only happens every 3.5 months or so. It's expensive ($35 each) but worth it I guess, the groomer is awesome. I does hurt to think that I spend $250 on dog haircuts every year.

i know i am going to get pwned by this but my wife and i have 2 toy poodles. we got 1 at first because my wife is allergic to dogs and poodles are, i guess, hypoallergenic, and to be honest i hated the tiny little thing at first. it was just so damn small and i grew up with larger work type dogs - labs, retreivers, etc. i felt it was just too fragile.

but the little dog grew on me and we got another one. they turned out to be really good dogs and that fact that they don't shed (i don't know if this is how you spell the word, but you know what i mean) or really smell is excellent. they are also pretty resilient little fellas, much more than i would have expected by their weight.

when these two pass on, we will probably get another 2 or 4, good little dogs

I've wanted one of these for a long time, the neighbor's had one when they moved back to the US after living in Italy for a few years. My Pit Mix and their dog were good buddies for over 10 years..

Dog I have now came from the humane society and they're not certain what she is, but we're guessing half Black Lab, half Rottweiler
