Wow...
"First" camera was a brand-new 1972 Kodak Pocket Instamatic 110 I got for Christmas.
Wow! I think that's the same camera I had when I was a little kid. I remember being the only person present to watch them tear down a bridge - I took a whole roll of photos of just them demolishing the bridge - it was a several blocks long foot bridge. My parents claimed that they took the film to the camera shop to get it processed, but even back then, I suspected they didn't, because they were displeased I wasted an entire roll of film on just that one subject.
I've had digital cameras pretty much since they first came out; and upgraded roughly yearly or every other year. I *finally* got a DSLR a few months ago: Nikon D3200 (very happy with it). First lens besides the kit lens is a Sigma 18-250mm 3.5-6.3. I'm anxiously awaiting the UV filter, circular polarizer, intervalometer, spare battery, AC adaptor, tripod, and class 10 64GB memory card, that I ordered Monday. Going to play with time lapse for something new to do this weekend. edit: ugh, Amazon sent me the wrong timer!
