What candy are you getting for Halloween?

I'm getting whatever my kids bring home. And whatever my wife put away for strangers that ring our bell. Weird part is we won't be home for the peak hours.

Lol, I remember those. Used to get the Popeye ones at Halloween as a kid. They tasted awful IIRC. ^_^

Picked up some Mini Scream Eggs for the studio staff at work. Kids are getting Maynards assorted, Rockets (what the Americans incorrectly call "Smarties"), and assorted Nestle chocolate pack. It's my dad's birthday on the 31st so I hope we're going out for dinner, so I can eat those candies myself. :awe:

Last year, the weather sucked. We bought a bunch of capri sun drink things, or whatever the hell they are that you jam the straw into and suck out the flavored hfcs water. They took up a shelf in our kitchen for about 8 months. Can't remember who it was who was over and made a comment about liking those things, but I loaded them up.

This year, my wife doesn't want to bother, but I'll probably get some candy bars, if only for the two little kids just down the street, and for a new couple that moved in at the end of the road with their couple of kids.

Got peanut butter cups, Snickers, Hershey Bars and my fav Mr. Goodbars. I really like how the older kids show up with a pillow case a no fucking costume. I think for them I'll give out religious wafers.

Put out an EMPTY tub with a sign saying to take one. That way people will think somebody already took them all and you get credit for giving out a tub full of candy.

#1 is Marked "For Kids" - mostly chocolate - Snickers, Reeses, etc
#2 is Marked "No Costumes/Teenagers" - raisins, popcorn balls and toothbrushes

Finally found a happy medium on chocolate. Milk chocolate is 35% and a dime a dozen and 60% starts getting bitter. Perugina Luisa is 51%, just right.

I now like Brussel sprouts as well, but I didn't care much for it as a child (and I think the vast majority of children can't stand 'em).

I liked them as a kid, but I'm half-polack, so I liked that, liver, pickled herring, all kinds of gross stuff my friends would not touch.

We get frozen Brussel sprouts from Trader Joe's that are awesome. Cover them in butter and the kids like them too. Of course, mine aren't covered in butter..lol.

I didn't like them as a kid either, I remember them being very bitter. The ones we get now aren't like that.
