as a GM hater, I would even drive that... in wagon form

Don't know what the OP is whining about. I've driven the Lincoln MKX, which has the same V6 engine. Thing had plenty of power. Was a blast to drive, and that's all that matters.
I wonder if the OP should look into getting a tune to remap the throttle response and other such things.
Would more coats make the wheel darker? I like how yours turned out, but I have been on the fence about "painting" my wheels black. Took them to my wife's work (anodizing shop) and they turned me off of anodizing them.
Well I used two different types of paint. The first one is the base black coat as you see in the first picture. That's how it started out.
I didn't want to black out my car and was trying to go more for that gunmetal-ish color. I used only 1 coat of the pearlizer paint from Plasti-dip. Any more and it would get lighter, to the point where it was almost indistinguishable from the original color.
Nice thing about Plasti-dip is if you don't like it, you can pretty much peel it off with no damage to the original paint job yet it's tough enough that it'll not come off without you actually trying to get it off.
Also a good way to protect your rims from scratches and what not.
How long does it last?
Depending where you use it and how you take care of it a little bit of luck, at least a year or so if not. Some have reported no issues for up to 3 years.
The stuff is pretty cheap so it's worth checking out to see how much life you get out of it. Mine has been on for about 2 months already and it looks fine.

Well color me retarded. I guess I've just never seen it shiny before? I'm not a fan of the fact that it's flush with the bumper instead of recessed; that (and the paint) is what made me think it was aftermarket.
And the wife drives a 2014 Mazda 6 Touring
That's the best looking midsize sedan! (Kia Optima being a distant 2nd.)

Right now my brother is getting all the fun out of the Viper, it's living in his garage since I moved. He has a free Viper right now - Insured and a credit card to buy gas with so he doesn't complain too much about having it there.
