Don't know what the OP is whining about. I've driven the Lincoln MKX, which has the same V6 engine. Thing had plenty of power. Was a blast to drive, and that's all that matters.

I wonder if the OP should look into getting a tune to remap the throttle response and other such things.

Would more coats make the wheel darker? I like how yours turned out, but I have been on the fence about "painting" my wheels black. Took them to my wife's work (anodizing shop) and they turned me off of anodizing them.

Well I used two different types of paint. The first one is the base black coat as you see in the first picture. That's how it started out.

I didn't want to black out my car and was trying to go more for that gunmetal-ish color. I used only 1 coat of the pearlizer paint from Plasti-dip. Any more and it would get lighter, to the point where it was almost indistinguishable from the original color.

Nice thing about Plasti-dip is if you don't like it, you can pretty much peel it off with no damage to the original paint job yet it's tough enough that it'll not come off without you actually trying to get it off.

Also a good way to protect your rims from scratches and what not.

How long does it last?

Depending where you use it and how you take care of it a little bit of luck, at least a year or so if not. Some have reported no issues for up to 3 years.

The stuff is pretty cheap so it's worth checking out to see how much life you get out of it. Mine has been on for about 2 months already and it looks fine.

I might try it out on the wifes 328 rims - she's itching for black and is OK with the factory tires

2006 Lincoln LS

The last nice Lincoln.

I remember when that gen first came out and Motor Trend (or some other magazine) did a write up on a completely customized one.....supercharged, body kit (not over the top), lowered...I fell in love with the LS

Not my pic, but it looks exactly like this:

99 BMW 740iL

I guess since everyone else talking about the rest of their vehicles, I will too...

The BMW is the DD, I also have an 86 300zx, 98 CR-V, 98 VTR1000, and 73 Ironhead.

Seems that I'm always working on something......

Well color me retarded. I guess I've just never seen it shiny before? I'm not a fan of the fact that it's flush with the bumper instead of recessed; that (and the paint) is what made me think it was aftermarket.

Yeah I agree, something recessed would have looked better...plus I think the license plate frame makes it look like it has buck teeth...fits with my hillbilly heritage I suppose.

Damn nice cars people. Here are my legitimate beaters. lol. Foxbody mustang and a v6 truck. They get the job done. My wife drives a newer civic. I'm almost ready to throw in the towel and get a new civic or something but it's hard to use the money when my beaters are paid for and you can dog them or get a door ding and it's not a big deal.

The fun car:

Right now my brother is getting all the fun out of the Viper, it's living in his garage since I moved. He has a free Viper right now - Insured and a credit card to buy gas with so he doesn't complain too much about having it there.

Can I be your brother instead? You don't even have to leave a CC for gas.

That's the best looking midsize sedan! (Kia Optima being a distant 2nd.)
Wow really great looking . Just looks exciting
It really is a fantastic car. The engineering that has gone into it, is incredibly impressive.
The 2014 Mazda 6 is a finalist for the World Car Design of the Year, along with the Aston Martin Vanquish and the Jaguar F-Type. The latter two cars retail for a combined $350,000, compared to $22,000 for the Mazda. Pretty impressive for Mazda.
