Did some plasti-dip work a little while ago on mine as well. I liked how it turned out. 3 layers of black and 1 layer of pearlizer.

Outcome:

With some caliper paint (tried to replicate the sema speed3 wheels)

That turned out really nice! I've been tempted to try something similar this year on my stock wheels...although I might go Blaze Orange haha.

This is what i drive, got it a few months ago. I know, some people hate the bra, i got it for seasonal use because i have troubles in my area with rock chips and bugs destroying the crappy paint Honda uses. My Civic's front end was ruined within one summer. Personally i kinda like how it looks, the black on red and it forms tightly to the body.

you think honda has crappy paint? I have owned quite a few makes in including a couple hondas. they use decent paint, especially good compared to the likes of nissan

How do you like the SE-R and what's the MPG like?

That's one of the cars I'm looking at for a DD while I work on my baby:

Plans in the works for an LS motor with a couple go-fast bits, debating keeping the 225-width tires and tired 4.30 LSD in at first. :twisted: Over one year of rod knock and 10,000 miles and she's still running. Blew a hose and filled a tunnel with steam though the other week. :thumbsup: but it was on a first date.

Would more coats make the wheel darker? I like how yours turned out, but I have been on the fence about "painting" my wheels black. Took them to my wife's work (anodizing shop) and they turned me off of anodizing them.

How do you like the SE-R and what's the MPG like?

It's nice, you don't see a lot of them so that's a plus. I've never driven the automatic version but my 6 speed is fun to drive, lots of torque obviously, 2nd & 3rd gear is where its at lol.

MPG is about the usual for the VQ, probably around 22-24mpg in mixed driving, but high 20's on the highway (75mph or so). I'm sure it depends how heavy your foot is, I tend to granny it around most the time.

Don't know what the OP is whining about. I've driven the Lincoln MKX, which has the same V6 engine. Thing had plenty of power. Was a blast to drive, and that's all that matters.
