Chase Freedom. Have a few other cards but I never use them.

Same. I only got it for the free $250, but after they killed Citi's program it's been the best.

There are better cards.
Best among the ones you own perhaps.

Like what? I also have the Chase Freedom and have been very happy with the rewards, their website, customer service, the whole thing. I wouldn't switch too easily, but I'm curious what cards offer better rewards. Do note I'm not interested in acquiring miles or "points" towards things I must purchase at a pre-approved location.

My issue with them is:

The other day I went on to pay my bill. Instead of my normal interface, I saw a bunch of red wording stating that my card may have been compromised and that they will be issuing a new one. However, I have been using the card just fine so I was a little confused. I called them to pay my card and the lady was nice enough to waive the normal $15 fee to pay by phone :disgust:

So, to reiterate, their solution to my card being potentially compromised is:
-Prevent user from viewing account online
-Prevent user from making payments online
-Allow user to continue using card

WTF?

Edit: I've been wondering if this is somehow a ploy to get me to stop using my Citi Dividend Platinum card since they've discontinued the card. It's been over a week and I've still not received the new card. You'd think this is something that they'd want to get to me ASAP.

I just found out the same shit this morning when I logged into my Online Account. I used the same card last night to buy food. Supposedly my new card was sent out on 3/4 and I better have it by next week.

The customer service rep said it was compromised because the card was swiped at a merchant whose database was compromised. Of course they didn't know the name of the merchant with is fking retarded because I'm always going to the same places around work or home so what's to keep it from happening again when I get the new card?

::edit::

I also have/had the Dividend Platinum card

You'll have to let me know if you get it. I think we're being played.

I posted it on the 2nd page.
Not a useless rewards program with miles or points. This is plain cold cash.

with USAA, i just got a new card in the mail with a note saying my acct may have been compromised. no phone calls or warnings on the website and my other card worked flawlessly until i finished investigating and decided to activate the new one.

That makes sense to me. I do not understand Citi's logic, why would they allow continued use of the card but not allow you to pay the bill online?

I have credit cards with Citibank (Professional), BofA, WaMU, WellsFargo, CapitalOne and one other that I forget. No balances anywhere except my BofA that I use to charge everyday stuff. I just pay it off using the website every other day.

Chase

I'm pleased they haven't raised my rates. In fact the APR is at an all-time low, as it's pegged to the LIBOR (London InterBank Offer Rate).

I had the same thing happen to my Diamond Platinum Card. I got my card in the mail a few days later. When I activated the new card it automatically closed the old one down.

I've got one citibank card and one from my credit union. Citi tried to raise my rate a few months ago so I called them and they cut it down to where it was before.
