Fort Worth, TX - 1600 sq. ft. house, I pay $834/mo mortgage, that includes property tax, insurance and PMI... House cost $88K when I bought it last year...

1100sq ft. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage, professionally finished basement, in a commuter town 10 minutes west of Edmonton Canada is $700/month. 25 year mortage.

Built in 1979, very nice neighbourhood, across the street from nearly every store you need.

Oh, and my mother's house was built in '94, 950sqft, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, professionally done basement, very nice house, $750/mo...but its not close to any store minus 7-11. Oh, and its got a great design that makes it feel much bigger than it is too. Great neighbourhood also

Utah is way higher than WI was.

I rent a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo @ 1300 sq ft. $775/mo includes water/sewer/trash removal/cable/ and 2 parking covered parking stalls LOL

We have a wonderful 2ft of grass around the front side and back that belong to us the rest is community property. And a nice playground across the street that they built a wall around so now we can't even really get there to play.

Utah is Messed up!

In WI we rented a 3bdr duplex w/ full basement for $565/mo plus utilites. It was a lot bigger than this condo. At least felt bigger.

Centreville, VA - South end of the Dulles Tech cooridor and 30 miles west of Washington, DC - located in Fairfax County.
$1,100 a month (PITI) for a 3-level, end-unit, 2,000 sq. ft. townhome with 1-car garage. The house was loaded when we bouht it new 10.5 years ago: hardwood floors, mouldings, 42" cherry kitchen cabinets, etc. The good thing is that we have enough equity at this point where we could just sell out, buy a place in a less-populated area and live mortgage-free. Seriously, I'm glad I didn't play the "Keep up with the Jones's" by moving to a $400K neighborhood. It's comfortable having a mortgage that only takes about 12% of your income.
