I'm looking to store around 50GB of pictures and videos along with 10GB of songs... Dropbox looks pretty straightforward and good.

Just wondering what all of you use?

Dropbox for bs stuff, SpiderOak for sensitive stuff, and probably Mega for sharing. I was using UbuntuOne for that, but they closed up shop.

Pretty much all of them.

Primary one is Dropbox (100 GB now, but about half of that is a limited time promo), Google Drive (70 GB, also half of that is limited time promo as well), and Copy (117 GB, mostly for media).

All for free, except $5/year that I'm paying Google (grandfathered rate).

I really got to check out SpiderOak.

I use Dropbox because my storage limit is ridiculously high now.

This is due to my constant buying and selling of phones and tablets LOL. There's typically some sort of offer that gives you more storage with purchases.

At the risk of sounding stupid, and maybe I am, none! I have my data on my network, my home network. I've been toying with the idea of having at least some of it available to me with my smartphone, so in the cloud or maybe accessible from my network through 4G, but so far not done it.

I've used Dropbox, Picassa to put up stuff for others to access on occasion, but for myself, I keep it on my own storage.

None, well, I suppose Google sorta counts as cloud, I have an Android phone and think it puts lot of stuff there. For file storage I don't use any cloud services though. I've thought of it, for backups, but don't think any of them offer SSH/Rsync access. I have my own dedicated server in a data centre so I just use that for offsite backups.

OneDrive primarily for syncing photo access taken from computers and my phone with the rest of my PCs and vice versa, to be stored locally within each OneDrive folder on the devices.

Otherwise, due to cellular data speeds, streaming anything is costly and access to large files is out of the question.

What is wrong with Google Drive? You get 15 GB for free and you have the option to purchase 100 GB for $1.99 and 1 TB for $9.99 a month.

I use the free version, and if I needed more space I'd go for the 100 GB at $1.99 per month.

Google Drive free version. I don't really care if the NSA sees what I put there.

Edit: And I suppose Crashplan counts as well, although that's explicitly for backups.

You do get what you pay for when it comes to cloud storage. We use Dropbox in small office where I work to sync files between about five different computers. I tried switching us to Google Drive (because free) and it was completely useless at syncing files between the computers. Took forever and got weird errors where stuff woudln't sync.

I would think for straight backup though that Google Drive would be good since it is dirt cheap.

Yeah can't speak for an office network, but anything I'm currently working on is backed up via Google Drive, split between my Desktop and Laptop.

I also remember random, dumb syncing errors back when it was newer, but it appears they've ironed out most of that stuff, can't remember the last time I had one. I've also never seen it not use my full available bandwidth.

I use Backblaze, $50/yr unlimited backups for online backup of my home server storage of digital pics and home videos and music etc. Got tired of managing backups on DVD or USB drives or limited caps on the free services and still miffed about my one HDD crash and losing my kid's baby pictures. Now my entire central home HTPC/fileserver is always backed up. Took a few weeks for that initial backup though with over a TB of data and now approaching 2TB. Google drive for small day to day use.

My Dropbox account only has a pathetic 3.7 GB of storage in it, so I only use that for storing documents.

Microsoft had a promotion for a free 50GB Onedrive account awhile back, so I use that for photo backups.
