What comic book is left to make movies out of??

flash? wonder woman? even dare i say it, aquaman? although it appears that in 2011, we'll have a movie with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash and other superheroes in a movie called Justice League: Mortal

besides, both marvel and DC comics have tons of comics about superheroes that could be made into movies. granted not many are that well known, but still. there's a very big selection tbh.

edit: after reading the thread, most of what i said is not longer relevent. but there are still thousands of superheroes that could be made into a movie.

I don't want this new batman series that is brilliant thus far with Begins and certainly seems to look like it will stay that way with Dark Knight to be bastardized by laming it up into a hodgepodge collective. The Batman series they're doing now exists in what could very well be a real and believable world, throwing in superman and all the other fantastical heroes would totally spoil that.

just because its being made does not mean its been made. many of these have been in limbo for years. look at the story of the last superman movie.

just because its in production or set to be in production does not mean its been made.

A lot of those projects are still in the script writing phase. Basically, some movie execs have had a couple meetings & hired a writer to do a script. Thousands and thousands of movie ideas get to this stage and never even get to actual production.

He had some great villians, a brother/sister with powers, etc...

Definitely a superman rip-off, but I used to love those comic books.

Any of the heavy hitters popularized from the original VALIANT Comics (1990's):

Archer and Armstrong, Bloodshot (my favorite), Eternal Warrior, H.A.R.D. Corps, Harbinger, Magnus Robot Fighter (2nd fav), Ninjak, Psi Lords, Quantum and Woody, Rai, Dr. Mirage, Shadowman, Solar: Man of the Atom, Turok Dinosaur Hunter, X-O Manowar (3rd fav - armor cooler than Iron Man's with a much better storyline).

Bloodshot or Rai would be a definite hit with Asian culture due to its mature yet proven themes (ninja warriors). Turok Dinosaur Hunter was already made into a video game, it's not bad. Magnus and X-O Manowar would be sick movies as well. Archer and Armstrong could be appealing with the right actors.

Marvel: off the top of my head they haven't done any villain movies but THANOS and an Infinity Gauntlet series would absolutely rock. Adam Warlock could be ok with the right actor, especially pitting him against Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet movie. Spiderwoman might have some appeal as well if they got the right actress. Speaking of which, I would LOVE to see Angelina Jolie play the X-Men PSYLOCKE. Such a hot, sexy badass woman with a wicked superpower to boot. Wiki claims that Psylocke made a cameo in X-Men 3, but the character portrayed was NOT Psylocke (that character NEVER used psi-blades and scriptwriter said they were switching character names and just threw in "Psylocke"). Also, I'm anticipating the Thor series. Another one you guys forgot was Alpha Flight (I wasn't a fan though). Last, anyone remember X-FORCE?? And who could forget X-Force's enigmatic, badass leader Cable. That could be interesting. I'm also hoping for a GREY HULK (aka Mr.Fixit) movie. He's my favorite Marvel character, hands down.

DC: I really hope Green Lantern is made...

Just wait... the next five years will be riddled with them. There is nothing original coming out of Hollywood. Everything is either remakes or things that already have success in another form.

Hollywood has never really been the places to "create" the stories, they are only there to tell the stories. Many, perhaps most, of the "great classics" were books or short stories before they were movies. If a movie is unoriginal because it's not totally 100% new content, then hollywood's always been unoriginal.

Ninja Psylocke would be cool. I can't see how that movie would lose money.
