Hey how to find the right offset? I have a MSI board too but it seems like those are not the right offsets for me
Just wanted to let you know, that if you are using v3 you should search for f2 03 06 and f1 03 06. I'm going to download your bios and see what I can do with it. You familiar with the actual efi guide yet?

Also guys if you are using the latest bios that supports Broad then you might want to make sure and extract those codes too. Giga actually has a one for the f1 06 04 that also includes the f2 + f1 06 03 code as well.

Hi everyone, I want to mod my bios of my MSI X99S SLI Krait edition, what is the best methode or did somebody already mod that bios that I can get?

Also I can't find a download link for Ubu both are down
Okay I was able to actually mod this bios for you. The only thing I left was one microcode for broad. Sign up for a free account at sendspace. Then you should be able to flash with no problems. Just remember you will have to load the driver v3.efi in order to get full turbo boost. Follow Dufus guide which helped me. Thanks to all guys that have been helping and showed us this knowledge.

Yes i know i am reading this for a while and now actually working on my asrock board that i bought but it was allready flashed (by C-Power) but this is for a new system.
I was stuck and staring too mich at the offset address where i could not find the values f2 06 03 just bit familiar enough with hex coding. I will look into the modded file tomorrow and see if i understand it and try it myself too so i can understant this

Another update from me:

I raised the TDP and all those limiting settings ins the BIOS. Then I tried the same BCLK I had before turbo boosting...

My 2618L V3 runs now at 33x105,9 = 3,5 Ghz on all 8 cores!

Giving me:
CB15: 1414
CPU-Z: 14013 (1618)

That's amazingl and approx 29% performance boost!

I will upload some pics once I find the time tonight.

Thanks all, Andy

Hello to all,

I have 2 2683 v3 CPUs working together with ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS motherboard. I want to set the multipliers to 30x to all 28 cores of these CPUs. I have nearly read all the topic, however I need some help how to find a modified bios for this motherboard. I wonder if the bios for D16 motherboard also compatible with this board or not ? I would be very appreciate if someone help me step by step to set the multipliers of these CPUs to max.

Thank you all.

No compatible but they are similar. Method here:
http://www.portvapes.co.uk/?id=Latest-exam-1Z0-876-Dumps&exid=threads/what-controls-turbo-core-in-xeons.2496647/page-21#post-38827755

use asus flashback to flash (only that is working) - it it's 100% working method. If you can't do it it's yours mistake or you have damage motherboard and you should do RMA.
Before posting check if you are doing it right.

I found intresting data.
v3x2_CP I have 2,5GHz-2,6GHz while stressing all ( i think AVX app).
v3x2_cp27 I have 3,1GHz

This I also want to know... my daily system I use for work (with a lot of software installed etc. pp) runs on a Win 10 MBR partition as well...

V3 turbo runs smoothly on the separate UEFI Win 10 installation.... but does it work on MBR Win10 as well ???

Cheers Andy

After few days of testing, here's what I've discovered:

...

These apply on my Haswell-E HCC, but they might be different on other variants:

- >= 10 cores == Maximum Turbo Ratio available
- >= 12 cores == Maximum Turbo Ratio - 100MHz
- >= 14 cores == Maximum Turbo Ratio - 200MHz
- >= 16 cores == Maximum Turbo Ratio - 400MHz
- >= 18 cores == Maximum Turbo Ratio - 500MHz

This means that when 0x27 microcode is used, I can run my 2699 at 3.6GHz (1-10 cores), 3.5GHz (with 12 cores), 3.4GHz (with 14 cores), 3.2GHz (with 16 cores), 3.1GHz (with 18 cores), regardless of the workload.
...

Personally I gained around 28% of performance with this exploit.

OK, I almost soiled my pants when I read this post!!!!

I am not sure what I need to do, or if my setup supports this.

Do I need to run single socket? Do I need a new mobo?

PLEASE PLEASE help!

Any pointers to get me started would be really appreciated.

Details of my current setup bellow.

Well you could try searching this thread since others have the same mobo I think? Or you could continue to pee your pants?
Ok did as you suggested, and found some references.

One thing I have not been able to determine is which guide/post I should follow, and which files I need to download.

But yes, my pants get wetter the more posts I read

Read on page 21 instruction from a k*dragon? flash with asus flashback. If it won't work you doing something wrong

No. There is no chance...
This won't work on MBR

...none/27/39 - microcode version

I've made small test (Power profile: ballanced):

R15 @ 7Zip@8Th --- max result from 8x run. Corona - single run.
cp27 & cp39 -...

i tried those Efi drivers today and besides v3x2_cp39.efi, none of the files loaded successfully in the shell (computer halts, only reset helped)

but with this driver, i got max multi of 34x with 1-2 cores and 33x with 3-8 cores used. not bad...

any ideas why not any of the efi drivers could be loaded?
any ideas what limits the CPU to use multi of 34x for all cores?

thanks+ cheers
Andy

Other question i red here thet on a E5-2686v3 only run on 3,5Ghz on all cores when HT is off. But with 18 cores is there still benefit off HT?

Hello everyone! Today I've received an electricity monitoring socket that I ordered last weekend. I needed it to measure the TDP of my PC in order to understand how much power the fully unlocked Xeon E5-2696 V3 takes under different load levels. Here are the results:

I've concluded that ASUS utility shows correct TDP for my CPU, whereas AIDA64 Extreme (its semi-transparent OSD-panel can be seen in the top left corner) doesn't. Also, I confirmed my suspicion that this motherboard (ASUS X99-E WS/USB 3.1) overrides somehow the CPU's TDP limit of 240 W. Under Prime95's "Torture Test" the CPU consumes more than 300 W of power.

I hope this information helps.

P.S. I have Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler installed and my motherboard has two 8-pin CPU power connectors.

@Ionstream ,
>this is a SuperMicro board

MMTool won't work with it. I've successfully modded X10DRi-T by an algorithm described at the beginning of this thread, when you manually modify 2 bytes of the microcode signature so it is no longer recognized as 306F2. There're four f2 06 03 00 sequences in this bios, and you need to change 2nd and 3rd ones (but always re-check bios validity with all tools available after this, yours may have different structure).

Hmmm that's interesting, must've missed it out while reading through this massive thread. I'll have a go at it.
