None at all. Sold my GTX 1070 and 1440p G-Sync monitor a month ago. Sold my 4790k rig a couple days ago. Not replacing rig anytime soon....Going to try that thing they call the great outdoors and see if it ives up to the hype.

Why not both? In my neck of the woods, plenty of rainy and snowy days to spend with my rig. Either way, don't get eaten by a bear.

That's a very good idea, but the OP was clear in his "current" naming of the thread. Do start a new thread to take our minds off the Vega fights.

Woops my bad. I read the question as "what gen is your current card?" or something similar.

Please ignore my misplaced nitpicking. Tho I'd still be more interested about those who have held off on upgrades for a various reasons.

Picked up a used 980ti for a cool $300 when the 1080 dropped and it has been a magnificent card for 1080p and 1440p w/dsr.

I'll probably hold on to it until I can pick up a used 2080ti or something for $300 or if AMD decides to get competitive in the next 3 years.

Honestly it was more of a " I want to play with new technology " thing in the end. Sure I had fun playing games on PC but in the end I wound up wasting too much money vs the enjoyment. Not too many games that peak my interest these days and those that do a person can only play so long. Never got into online gaming really as working full time with other responsibilities in life leaves me with a huge disadvantage with the celler dwellers.

Over here in CA we aren't known for our snowy and rainy days! Guess this year was an exception.

Starting last September I inflicted the no staycation policy Took up camping last September and added on fishing and a little bit of gold prospecting, metal detecting this year. Been about 25yrs since I've done such things.

RX 480 i bought as soon as they reached canada after launch last year. Had a I7 930 system at the time. Im still using it with my new ryzen build but intend to upgrade to vega or 1080/1080Ti as soon as RX vega launches and i can asses the performance and make a final decision then.

GTX 950. Was planning on grabbing a RX 570, but then the mining bubble happened. I have a 4k Freesync monitor, but only plan on playing at 1080p, I just needed higher PPI for work.

What, there's another mining craze?! I haven't been paying attention, I thought we were done with that nonsense! Every rx570 out of stock on newegg, or $500+...
I thought BTC mining got too hard, what are ppl mining now?

1080 ti as I did not want my monitor to go to waste. Luckily I did not settle for the 1080 a few months prior because i would have lost 30 percent free performance for a similar price.

R9 290 with a 144 Hz 1080 FreeSync monitor

at this point, I might wait until Navi and whatever Nvidia's next GPU is after Volta

I have 480s, 1050ti, 1060s, 1070s, 1080tis... I chose 1080ti since it's the most expensive card I own.

Ethereum, Zcash, and a bunch of other cryptos but for the most part it's going to be short lived. There is essentially no ROI for mining right now after electricity and increases in difficulty are taken into account. A LOT of people who recently (last 6 weeks) jumped on the mining bandwagon are going to be disappointed that their investments in hardware don't pay off like they think they will. The market is going to be fully flooded with used GPUs sometime between Christmas and Easter.

GTX 770... Was going to buy the 1070, but the DX12 performance seemed lacking. The 770 is too old now, so I will have to buy the (I presume) Pascal refresh unless Volta is imminent, and unless this mining craze is still in full force. Unfortunately, it seems AMD has traded their competitiveness in the GPU market for competitiveness in the CPU market. Hopefully their CPU sales can jumpstart their GPU team back into working order.

1060 6GB, I find it's the highest end card that I am comfortable fitting in and trusting with my Dell PC using its original power supply.

Let's see cards in computers that I am using right now, a pci-e 1x slot passive cooled AMD HD 5450, Galax 1060, AMD R7 260x that are in use. One in Gnu/Linux the HD 5450, others Win10 boxes. Have a Asus GT630 in my stash that was replaced with the R7 card.

On a side note, that AMD HD 5450 is running on an AM3 platform and is actually a 1x pci-e card, bought it like back in 2012 or something to fill a refurbished HP computer that had no x16 slot. Worked great back then but not so much now, as driver bugs won't allow me to hibernate, or sleep due to opensource bugs in my distro. Card is great, have it in x16 slot works well, but comp is on all time and seeing if I can kill the card due to heat stress.

Seriously that computer is hot use it to crunch science, outside case is hot to touch, cpu temps says like 73 degree C, but still going. Yes I have 2 intake fans, and 1 exhaust fans all 120MM exhaust air temp is warm, but not hot. Just summer, and average temp in the room it's in probably like 80-85 degrees F, I use portable AC when I am in the room so stay cool, but when not home or outside room is hot, maybe in 95-100 degree F range, just seeing if one day when get home it is killed by heat, or motherboard turned it self off. But know in winter won't need heat in my room, and will be toasty.

Currently running a Titan Xp, my first Titan class GPU. Haven't regretted buying it either, as it was essentially already paid for when I sold my GTX 980 Ti, GTX 1080, 5930K +mobo+RAM+heatsink which came out to approximately $1500. Still have to sell my old 4930K+mobo+RAM+heatsink to a friend at work for $400.

I may consider buying another Titan class GPU in the future, but only if it's the full fat die version. I will not buy any Titan GPU if it's even remotely cut down.

I usually skip 2-3 generations before upgrading. I sat with dual 570s until the 980Ti released. I probably would have stuck with the 570s had I purchased the 2.5GB models instead of the 1.25GB ones and then went with a 1080 or 1080Ti this gen.

Dual 980Ti should keep me good for hopefully another 3-4 years.
