Character... sometimes I think we confuse what character means. Character is essentially personality, isn't it? It's the combination of our traits that allow those who we encounter to differentiate us from anyone else. This as opposed to character having some specific positive connotation, as if it's absence is a product of negative traits. No, there is no absence of character, but some people may have more or less "contrast" than others.
Their level of desperation
Given the recent political process, I have to say character is the ability to state what you beleive dispite which way the political wind blows.
