What did I miss? What's the huge deal about the Canadian Figure Skating Team at the Olympics?

They were just on Leno, and said something about being on the Today show earlier. I didn't catch what happened....What happened? I can't really find anything real quick and there hasn't been a post. Anyone give me a heads up as to why they are getting so much attention? All I can figure is that they were either screwed or they cheated?

I watched it last night and the Canadian team won. How do you win if you blow it 4 times and one of those tomes the male skater does a double spin where it should have been a tripple and nearly falls down as well.


They were robbed!!!


At least they along with most of the people in the world know they won.

We totally should have gotten the gold. Those judges didn't know what they were talking about. The canadian teams' skating was almost flawless, and it was a hell of a lot better than the russians, I don't know what happened with that judging, I wonder what will happen with the inquiry.

Really? how such amount of people can vote for thing they did not see? It was not shown on TV completely!!!, short, free and ?
How many of you have an idea in figure skating? President of Skating said: "when people will judge we won't need judges"
I guess there is a difference in difficulty of the program, tech score and art score. Russians made few errs, Canadians did not, right. But Russians did more difficult prog and won previous skating which makes 30% and their art score is no mutch.
Everyone saw their collision? Sole run straight to Russian guy, He has no eyes on his back. What's that noise in press that he hit her?

Canada run the same presentation for two years in a years in a row, you expect judges to forget about it?
Wanted to end Russian victory row? make your skating better, ok? Giving smooth technical is ok, but not enough.
NBS started that BULL to get more attention to its broadcast. It would not happened in any other country.
Why they did not show that French judge saying " I was pushed to vote against Russians buy British/Canadian, by press/media" and I voted based on what I saw"???
Why they pointed to Chinese judge first? looking for the guilty guy?
I believe it's what left from cold war.

just on leno again? wow, they were on leno during the olympics.

as for more information.. its everywhere. the best current sources are the new newsweek and time. you can find them this week easily since they have big ass pictures of the pair on the front. inside are details on just what happen, jump by jump breakdown comparison etc. very informative.
