First, he broke the color-barrier to the highest office.

Second -- and it took me a while to figure it out, being Caucasian for 70 years -- he destroyed the myth that we live in a post-racialist America. You only need to look at news-vids of Tea-Party demonstrations in 2010, and see how the opposition blocked every reasonable thing he might have done in addition to things against the grain of any ideology. And finally, their choice of this Disgusting Low-Life Filth we have for "YOUR" President of MY country now.

There is a psychology that nobody fully admits being part of, which overrides every sensible policy discussion we could have here or anywhere else.

Obama didn't do damage to anything except the overriding assumptions of bigots. That's why Trump is constantly still making Obama the scapegoat for everything. They CANNOT abide by any legacy for the O-man or the reality that he did better than his cornpone predecessor. And -- at least -- Bush was a gentleman.

The GOP extremists now in control have been very clear about what they want to do. They want to completely eliminate the federal level of government barring those things that correspond to their narrow view of government. It took a hundred years or so to build those institutions, and they are systematically doing everything they can to destroy them.

THAT is extreme partisanship, and it doesn't recognize the reality that the wisdom of many long dead, some still living and generations of Americans was ingredient to the blood and sweat and treasure and trouble that went into creating those institutions.

There is less of anything "partisan" about such a statement, but what I describe with it is the near-insanity of trying to raise up some sort of ante-Bellum Beulah-land with a pie-in-the-sky laissez-faire idea that failed long ago. Otherwise, those institutions would not exist.

The Myth of Obama "destroying" or damaging anything is a façade and smokescreen to the real pending destruction.

I dont have to believe it, i live it. My coverage was improving each cycle since 2002. My bc/bs PPO coverage was top of the line. The day obamacare went into effect, my copays went up and the deductables went up, and the coverages went way down.
