Two shotguns @ walmart 20% off sale, battery charger/jumper, 3 32 gb usb drives @ radio shack for 7.99 apiece, a 32 gb micro SD card for $18, a few 16 GB cards for 12ish, a Christmas tree @ ACE for 20% off, misc other stuff.

I was going to get those 32gig flash drives but decided not to after reviews

I got in on some 1 TB 3.0 hard drive on Amazon for $48 a couple hours ago. .5,1,2 TB Toshiba drives hit at the same instant and sold out instantly, except for the .5 which took around a minute to sell.

A terabyte for $48. Ridiculous.THIS.

I bought a 1TB drive as well, but they're 5400 RPM drives

I miss the days of having several MB + CPU combos to choose from.

Guess those days have come and gone

I just picked up a logitech harmony ultimate remote on amazon for $249.99. It has been sitting in my wish list for months at $309 and above but today the price went down, but was not a lightning deal or anything.

Just got it today, I swear it's a day early.

Anyway, I did a quick test and a 1 GB file from my Latitude 6430 laptop, on one of the USB 3.0 ports, took 20 seconds to get to the drive. That's 50 MBps. I am not used to cutting edge computers anymore, but I am used to slow ones, and frankly that's a lot faster than I'm used to.

I didn't actually buy anything on Friday, but I consider all the sales around this time to be the same thing. I finally talked myself into buying some speakers for the entertainment system this month, because newegg was putting a lot of Polks on sale again. And so of course I had to keep my eye out for a decent price on a receiver, because I didn't already own one. Amazon had the Yamaha RX-V673 as a daily deal on Thanksgiving day, which seemed like a good buy. So over November I ended up purchasing all this:

$300 - Yamaha RX-V673
2x $150 - Polk Monitor 70
$100 - Polk CS2
$200 - Polk PSW505 sub

Not the lowest prices reported for all those speakers (they dropped the CS2 another $10 just a few days after I bought it lol), but I feel like it's good bang for the buck. I don't have them hooked up yet though...

I'm gonna keep my eye out for a couple more speakers to use as rears for 5.1, but I'm not in a rush.

I bought WAY too many Blu-ray movies from WalMart / Best Buy / Amazon / Half Priced Books.

And now I need to buy more storage space...

EDIT: In fact WalMart still has their promo Blu-rays out, so BF is still going for me.

A hundred bucks worth of Steam games.
Nothing else.

Thought about getting my mom some more stuff for Xmas, but the pre-thanksgiving purchases will be fine.

I picked up a Visio 5.1 soundbar for $200 online. Didn't really see anything I wanted to buy for a price I wanted to pay. I was tempted at that $199 work bench from lowes though.

Got a budget Haswell CPU + MB combo for $61 @ Fry's after tax and rebate; not bad for a modern current socket rig

I was wise to hold off. Amazon had a dirt cheap BRAND NEW Pearl 8220. Thanks to Prime I'll get it well before Xmas, and my mom will have a nice BB flip phone for basic use in addition to her oversized mega-powered BB for work.

Along with cheap prepaid tmobile service, she will be quite happy this coming year.

2 Element 40" LED TVs for $178 each at Walmart to use as 1080p PC/gaming monitors. Plus the 3 year repair or replacement warranties, just in case.

So far, so good, for the price.
