I got this, and it is the most bad-ass thing ever created in the history of creating things:
My cousin's 8 year old son got one. He doesn't know anything about it or how to use it and will probably break it before the end of the year. What a waste.
My parents gave my GF and I a Ninja blender, microwave and small immersion blender.
I got Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Labyrinth 30th anniversary edition and a limited edition O'Reilly Auto Parts RC semi truck (only 18k made).
My GF got some jewelry, a Fire HD 8, Bluetooth earbuds, a very nice robe and very overwhelmed because her family did Christmas maybe 5 times in her whole life (she's 29), and almost never more than one present per person.
My birthday is in 5 days, and I already know what I'm getting: A Surface Pro and probably a Gear S3 (even though I said not to get it).
Liven up the evening with Chromecast + AnyNet + porn. You have to rescue it! That droid is so realistic it's like it's ALIVE!
My son's girlfriend was in the same boat- her family enjoys talking and getting drunk with relatives more than exchanging gifts and eating awesome food, so she never really experienced a proper Christmas. We loaded her up and I made a 5 star rib-roast...she was overwhelmed I'm still touched when she said "this was like one of those Christmas shows I always used to see on TV!"
About an hour after than my dad got into the scotch and pretty much ruined the entire night, but at least we got her halfway there
True story!Liven up the evening with Chromecast + AnyNet + porn.
Two Amazon Fire Tablets*
6 or 7 pairs of Bluetooth earbuds*
Books (Backyard Blacksmith and Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest) from daughters
Pocket knife kit that you fit, polish and finish yourself from daughters
It's just me and my two daughters now and Christmas is more about spending time together.
*I have a friend with money who drinks too much and likes to shop online. I've never asked him for a thing, but in the last couple of years he's sent us a 55" TV, a 32" monitor, two UE BOOM wireless Bluetooth speakers, two really nice Condor machetes, a more utilitarian Tramontina machete, a Japanese whetstone, a sombrero, a huge outdoor gas fryer and basket, and the two Amazon Fire tablets and Bluetooth earbuds for Christmas this year.
He's a great guy and my best friend, but I wish he would stop. We were roommates until he moved from Idaho to Nevada to take care of his aging mother. She passed about a year ago and he's been staying to "settle her estate", but I fear it's really his failing health that is keeping him from moving back. He had a stroke and claims he is recovering well, but I know he's lying to some degree. His friendship has been the gift I've enjoyed the most.
Stuff is nice, but family is where it's at.
They have excellent sausages I hear.A trip to vienna with my partner, and lots of wonderfully decadent foods
Got one last gift today from the boss. Actually got it yesterday, but it was too small. He got a lg and an xl to hedge bets, and gave me the lg first. The xl fits great. Super nice jacket...

Easily the best gift I got this year aside from taking most of a week off.
