After reading your threads I seriously doubt you would have any idea of what is dumb and what isn't .

Canada is great! They speak Canadian there right? They're near Vermont right?

As far as the whole war/UNSC issue, Canada curently is not a member of the UNSC nor do I think they have the political clout to influnce the members of the council.

US relationship w/ Canada would be too costly for either side to allow this to grow into anything other the a "disagreement".

btw..if you keep the  flowing, America will always love you

I don't think it's fair

all of you are naive as hell, caught up in everything your single digit IQ'd President has fed you

Our Prime Minister and his colleagues who we voted into power

I believe in the last Canadian election, 60% of votes were cast against the Liberals and Chretien...

well lets see...we don't have an entire region of our country trying to break off and form it's own country (Quebec)

at least our "idiot President" (undergrad Yale, Grad School Harvard)
isn't a lying conniving lawyer who went to some no-name college (St. Joseph Seminary, Trois-Rivières?)

to quote a op-ed piece from Toronto journalist: "Jean Chretien is an irrelevant little man who heads an increasingly
irrelevant government in what is fast becoming an irrelevant insignificant country "

Heck - you guys can't even protect your own leaders (Jean Chretien received a cream pie to the face on August 16, 2000), and
we are supposed to take your advice on OUR security.

Chretien is just another "Liberal" ..and i don't mean that in a flattering way..
our "single digit IQ'd President" has been proven right in every single aspect of the war Iraq so far..
yet you continue to believe the liberals and apologists...
if being right is stupid, then i'd rather be a moron.

I'm all for America and Canada getting along. I like visiting the States, it's just different enough to be interesting, but in alot of ways, it feels just like home (Canada).

Some of the guys in this thread obviously think America produces enough of everything (goods-wise) to support itself.
You Dont. No Country does.

For example, America is in the middle of a huge energy crisis right now. How many of you knew that? America is desperate for Electricity and oil. Demand is starting to outstrip supply. Look at the rolling blackouts in California during the summers.

Guess who's got alot of Electricity?

Canada's great. Every time I go up there my $10's turn into $20's. Can't beat that.

On another note why are people saying it's wrong to dislike a country based on the actions of it's leader? Correct me if I'm wrong but unless we're talking about a country with a non-democratic form of government the leader is elected by the people. Therefore he speaks for the people. In theory at least. That doesn't seem like such a big jump to make.

I believe in the last Canadian election, 60% of votes were cast against the Liberals and Chretien...
probably. don't care.

well lets see...we don't have an entire region of our country trying to break off and form it's own country (Quebec)
right, do you even have any official languages to start with? how do you figure you would even begin to have this problem? and considering all of america's problems, how does having quebec wanting to seperate compare in size?

at least our "idiot President" (undergrad Yale, Grad School Harvard)
isn't a lying conniving lawyer who went to some no-name college (St. Joseph Seminary, Trois-Rivières?)
uh huh. first explain how he was a 'lying conniving lawyer', and second how you would even know if that's a 'no-name college' or not. it just goes to show that brand names mean everything with you. bush went to harvard and yale? haha, well there goes their credibility.

to quote a op-ed piece from Toronto journalist: "Jean Chretien is an irrelevant little man who heads an increasingly
irrelevant government in what is fast becoming an irrelevant insignificant country "
yep.

Heck - you guys can't even protect your own leaders (Jean Chretien received a cream pie to the face on August 16, 2000), and

i don't see the connection at all. bill gates also received a pie in the face.

pies in the face are not guns, bombs or otherwise very harmful projectiles. and i'm not giving you advice on your security dumbass.

Chretien is just another "Liberal" ..and i don't mean that in a flattering way..
*crickets* ........... hear that? no? that's your rhetoric.
our "single digit IQ'd President" has been proven right in every single aspect of the war Iraq so far..

you continue to believe the liberals and apologists...
keep making no sense.

My opnion of Canada before the war:

Cool country, some assholes here and there, but mostly the people are cool. Don't really care about their government. Overall a nice place and good friend in the world.

My opnion of Canada now:

Besides, I've got all my Lexx DVD's from videoflicks.com based in Toronto and they're dirt cheap compared to places here in the states.

I don't think most people have a problem with Canada. Seriously, my friends and I think Cananda is pretty cool, and when we go to Europe in the summer we plan to say we're from Canada as to avoid any serious altercations when we're in France and Germany

EDIT: And on a more serious note I really think it's cool that we get a long well for the most part. Just the idea of a non-militarized border (the longest in history, if I remember correctly) is really a great feat, especially considered the violent world we live in today.

I seriously do not want to lose our good relationship with Canada over some disagreement.

Oh, and in response to the energy crisis, YEAH, it DOES suck. I am a firm supporter of finding a new energy source SOMEWHERE. We need to either find a way to manufacter oil cheaply ourselves, or find a new source for power other than oil.... because seriously, this really sucks.

I will concede that going to harvard and yale does not improve one's "credibilty"

'lying conniving lawyer'
ever met one that wasn't?

bill gates also received a pie in the face.
actually, there is a loosely knit community of anarchists (the most prominent component being the International Patisserie Brigade) that did
Chretien and Gates both.

I do not think badly of Canada at all....

I do think Canada's government does some 'weird' things sometimes.

Like this WHO travel advisory on Toronto that was issued yesterday.

Why is the Canadian government saying the WHO is overreacting?? I mean. SARS is no joke and needs to be dealt with, and Toronto is one of the two places SARS seems to be spreading wildly....... I think it would be wise of your government to listen to WHO when they speak...

I hope no cities in the U.S. gets a travel warning, but if it does, I am sure my government will treat it accordingly....

Once again, I think Canada is a great nation. Beautiful land, and the cities are mirror images of U.S. cities

Um, that 60% against is very misleading because we don't just have 2 parties here. There are 4 serious parties + at least 4 not so serious parties to choose from. Getting 40% of the vote in an 8 party system is pretty convincing.

Not all of Quebec is trying to break away, just part of them, and they're not very active these days. At least we chose to live together rather than have a civil war to solve a few problems.

What was GW Bush's average in Yale and Harvard again? Was it a C-?

To quote some guy: "Bush is a fricken moron."

Chretien's wife beat the fsck out of some d00d with a lamp when he tried breaking into their house IIRC... security comes in odd forms.
