Most from the US really do not think of anything beyond their borders unless it pisses them off. Relax. Just about everyone here is cool with you, OT hotheads excepted of course. I may get up to Canada late in the summer, and I have no plans to change that. I bet for every person spouting off here there are ten looking a bit embarrassed about the one, as if Billy Carter were discovered to be a blood relative.

Some of my friends are in Canada and when i visited Canada i must say that i enjoyed it. Glacier National Park/Waterton (i think is the canadian term for it) was unbelievable. If Canada would throw out the devils measurement (the metric system) and standardize their currency with the US then they would be even better.

Metric makes a hell of a lot more sense than our system. For what it is worth we actually screwed Canada since we were supposed to switch over to metric together but we backed out at the last minute.

In practice most Americans *don't* think about Canada, just as I imagine most Canadians don't bother thinking about the U.S. either. We all have our own problems to deal with both at home and abroad.

At any rate, it hardly matters what Americans think of Canada or vice versa. We are joined at the hip come what may, so that's that. Any talk of retaliation is asinine.

Personally I have yet to visit or live in a country in which the local populace did *NOT* think of themselves as the Greatest People on the Face of the Earth, so it's always funny to see people accusing other nationalities of arrogance. That goes for Canadians reprimanding Americans, Americans squabbling with the French, and so on.
