What do Democrats stand for right now?

Judging by the responses in this post i dont think anybody knows what the hell either party stands for.

Not since the 70's have either part really stood for anything other than Democrats for abortion and Republicans Abortion Foes. Other than that, they both share a love of power, corruption and greed.

In WWII President Roosevelt attacked Germany. Had he been a republican today the mainstream nedia would have eaten him alive for attacking a country that did not attack us. Now, consider that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have opposed this action (unless they are hypocrites) because each has said that no one should fight anyone of their same color. Thus, Roosevelt being "white" should not have fought against Hitler who was also (sadly) "white." Oh, maybe they are hypocrites.

So you think that even though they were all cheerleading the current Republican Admin. they would've condemned Roosevelt? Yeah right.

democrats stand for obstruction, plain and simple. no to tort reform, no to social security reform (which, by the way, is unfair to minorities), no to a sound energy policy, no to reasonable, seasoned judges and appointees who happen to be pro-life (no litmus test? yeah right), no to holding the UN accountable for their own scandals (oil for food), no to appointing minorities to top positions (gonzales, rice, powell, to name a few, while they have good ol kkk byrd). i can think of three democrats who i've really respected, 1 is dead, 1 is retired, and one's on the way out b/c his party doesn't like him: jfk, zell miller, and john breau of la.

That's how it goes. Republicans run us into massive debt. Democrats, or the thinkers as I look at it, step in tofix things ervery 4 or 8 years.

From my perspective both parties just seem to compete with each other on who can mess things up more and then their apologists spend hours upon hours trying to convince everybody that the screw ups really aren't screw ups.
