Simple. Correcting the great injustice of a lying president. Trying to stop the packing of courts with right wing nut cases, not to mention the U.N. Making people like Delay pay for their crimes against tax payers. Pointing out that there is no such thing as being "pro abortion" ( no one says "hey, lets kill some unborn today for fun" or "hey, I like getting pg so I can kill it"). But the bottom line... exposing the right wing hypocrites for what they are. Then, Democrats can move on to repairing the country and finding the 9 BILLION missing in Iraq (that Republicans don?t want you to know about, and will not look into).
Ps...And kicking Delays corrupt ass out of government service.

What a loaded bunch of bullshit. When will you people recognize that the language used leading up to the Iraq war was just as colorful and strong on the democratic side... God, you sound worse than the democratic strategist parrots on television. This is the dumbest post I've read in days

I think both parties are doing pretty poorly. The Democrats sorely need to reenergize their base and create an identity as a party. It seems as if they just oppose everything the Republicans do. And the Republicans need to start, well, quite frankly, doing better. Over the last year, the Republican Party has really lost some of its luster in my eyes. Nothing seems to be going right for them.

It's sad that we have to choose between a party of bad ideas and a party of no ideas.

What did the Republicans stand for when Clinton ran the country?

LOL, ever heard of the contract with America that got them back the House and Senate?

Unbelievable

Nah, they can't recall that... maybe they just don't like the thought of Newt Gingrich getting a drop of credit

Should have let this sit, seeing as how Democrats stand for even less now than they did 2 months ago.

What do they stand for? Apathy, Inaction, and Obstruction. That about sums it up.

The republicans stand for less than they did 5 years ago.

What do they stand for? Irresponsible tax cuts, out-of-control spending, wild budget deficits, corporate welfare, more religion for everyone, the transfer of wealth and power from the people to the elite, propaganda, homophobia, theocracy, the right to no privacy, lies, death, more death to cover lies, and a side helping of hypocrisy.

But hey, the OP woke up this morning and found himself uber important enough to bump his own thread again.

Well they did cause Clinton to become more Moderate and an extremely successful president. I like the idea of having different parties in control of the White House and Congress, it tend to make each other more moderate.

Maybe because the Republicans don't really stand for anything now other than playing chearleaders for Bush?

They ran on things like fiscal responsibility, where is it now? You have Feingold and Coburn (bipartisanship, yay! ) and who else?

The hypocrisy part then. Got it, the gop has made a living off of complaining about the democrats even when they contoll all three seats. Looking in the mirror and the mess they have made is not the rights strong suit now is it?

Ffollowing the big elephant around the tent with huge shovel and cleaning up the big large piles of $hit left behind is a full time job these days.

Ah yes, I guess I have to spell it out for you, the exact opposite of what the GOP stands for:

Responsible tax cuts and repealing the 1%, controlled spending, balanced budget, corporate accountability, separation of church and state, personal wealth for everyone willing to work for it, truth, tolerance, keeping God out of decision making and DC, the right to privacy, using our military might when threatened not when it serves our presidents agenda, exposing hypocrisy.

I'm not a democrat, but I stand for peace, truth and justice (social, fiscal and ethical).

That is why I don't support the Bush administration. They are Oh-for the list above.
