What do I do now?

I received half of the lttle front half of the envelope for a movie (the part that usually has some kind of ad on it). Apparently thats all my mailman got because they put it in one of those damaged mail plastic things.

There is no option on Netflix's site for this problem. I can't even find any contact info to report the exact problem so I am reporting it as broken.

What will happen when they never receive the "broken" dvd?

Just use your own envelope? And maybe your own postage? I don't know. I've never had that problem.

Just put it in the envelope with another movie. 2 discs will fit into 1 envelope, and in fact, this IS what they recommend on their website.

so did you get the movie too?

or the ONLY thing you got is the front half of the envelope? if that's the case, you tell netflix that you never got it, and they'll send a replacement immedately.

if you got the movie, just stick that in another good envelope.

Yep, in fact I do it all the time. I do it to keep the envelopes for my local distribution center, so that when netflix sends me a movie from across the country, I don't have to wait a week until I get my next movie.

I do the same thing. In fact, I have about 10 right now.

Report it lost, they will send another one out asap. As long as it doesn't happen too often they won't care. I've had to do it about 5 or 6 times of the last two years.

Just call netflix. Their phone support is actually decent. I had the first 3 dvd's just never show up to my new address. I called, they reported them lost and sent me replacements right away.

just report, didn't recieve disk

it doesn't really matter, just pick one of the options on the web site and they'll send another one

nothing. i had about 5 or 6 dvd's that i forgot to return. when i reopened my netflix account, they just started sending me movies like nothing happened. i have since returned them of course

While hardly scientific I took a couple of Netflix DVDs down to Florida with me on business. I watched them and then just returned them as I normally would. I expected that since I live in Michigan and that's where the movies came from that it would take a couple of days for the movies to get sent back. I was quite surprised when they received the movie the day after I sent it. Like I said, hardly scientific but it seems that the portion that says "Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility" actually accomplishes something.

Wow, epic reading comprehension fail in this thread.

I never got the DVD, just like 1/4 of the envelope it comes in.

there isn't an option to report that you never received it. there's a link for it but it just says wait a few days or something. The only option to report it as lost or stolen is to also pay for it. I didn't lose it so fuck if i'm going to pay it.

i reported it as broken, but i assume they'd expect to receive the broken DVD. If they don't receive it, are they going to try to charge me for it? I've got proof from the post office that I only received part of the envelope.

someone mentioned calling them but I couldn't even find a phone number or email address on the site.

how do you navigate your way through 24 hours without understanding a damn thing you read? I already said in my OP what i did about it. I'm just asking what will happen if they never receive the dvd i reported as broken...
