sorry, didn't notice you had replied.And you don't think they still do? They are allowed so much debris:
the FDA standards are waay better than what used to happen. "insect fragment" doesnt mean chunky food. we're talking microscopic, and "animal debris" is a fact of life that we are fully equipped to deal with.
a mouse hair that's swept into the grinding vat is far better than a bunch of whole, live rats falling into it and getting minced.
i mean, really, even rat meat ain't that bad if cooked properly.
