Just joking.. but every woman like every man is different we aren't some sort of collective hive mind,that you approach with some pat formula.


And as far as women passing over the nice guys in favor of the bad boys.. I ,must ask,how does one define a bad guy ? or is the definition of a bad guy just any man getting play from women that nice guys aren't ?

First, let me preface this by saying I -do- have a girlfriend, so this isn't sour grapes. My girlfriend is the nicest person I've ever known, so thankfully she wasn't into that "bad boy" thing. Otherwise, I'd be screwed.

Anyway, there -is- a difference between my "nice guy" friends and my "nice girl" friends. The nice guy friends have standards. However, they really aren't very high. Sure, being attracted to a girl is important, but they're very leniant when it comes to who they will and won't date.

My nice girl friends, on the other hand, really seem to be into that bad boy thing. Specifically, they go after someone who they KNOW has personality issues that they dislike, presumably in the hopes that they can change him. I'm not a psychologist, so I can't say that's what they're thinking for sure, but I -know- they don't go after the "nice guys", so what else would possess them to go after guys whose personalities they don't particularly like?

That isn't to say there aren't guys who are the same way. I can't speak for all girls or guys. I'm just speaking from the experience of my own friends.

But seriously, confidence is very important. As one person once told me, "If you think that you're the sh1t, then girls will also." I've known some ugly guys that have gotten an awful lot of girls because they are confident and outgoing.

Also, don't be afraid of failure. The worst that can happen is that she says no and you'll never see her again.

Brightest answer of this thread so far.

I never went out looking but thanks to the guy I'm with, I now know what I'd look for if I ever had to look.

1.) Honesty - the fact that my bf is honest about everything right down to how I look and whether he wants to spend time together guarentees to me that he's honest about liking me.
2.) Similar values and perceptions of a relationship - if I see dating as a process of getting to know someone who I possibly want to marry, going out with someone who just wants a casual relationship is going to make us both miserable.
3.) Confidence - not in approaching me, shyness is cool, but confidence in his own worth apart from whether I'll go out with him or not.
4.) Treatment - I do want a guy who'll treat me special, and who likes that attention to be a two way street.

Lame question, nobody can answer for it. The question indicates a representation of all females. Such is not possible. You can not describe in one sentence, or one paragraph what all women want in a man. Different women will seek different male attributes.

predictable
clingy
intelligence
has lovehandles (oh yes indeedy)
is a computer geek
is cute IMHO
puts up with my crap
successful - doesn't necessarily mean money. Lots of women look for success/money because it can mean a stable reliable person

definitely NO BAD BOYS for me

But of course as the other women have said, it differs from everyone (try finding many women who want a clingy computer geek with lovehandles!!)

And oh so lucky me has a bf with all this
