What do you buy regularly from Costco?

Are there any particular items you consider the "best deal" and make it a point to buy each time you go?

I'm thinking of getting a membership again, but sharing it with 2 other people this time.

Razor blades, paper towels, socks, undershirts, sometimes DVDs. Also, their 7 layer dip is pretty good too.

maybe its not worth it for you but my roomates and i have gotten a lot of use out of it.

ivy:

we definetly buy consumables there, like paper towels and tp as well as laundry detergent and house cleaners.

as far as food goes, we get snacks and drinks from there and we occasionally buy houshold stuff like cutlery and pots and pans. two of my friends have also boughten two bigscreen tvs and we have all bought dozens of dvds from there.

Costco has the best return policy of ANYWHERE. According to their policy, you can buy a bigscreen tv and 6 months later return it for no other reason than "I wasn't satisfied". It's awesome how a company actually cares about customer loyalty and whatnot as opposed to "Making money is #1". Definately one of the best companies in America. Also, they do have awesome prices on just about everything.

Do you read books?
Buy just 5 hardcover books per year and you've already saved $50.

Play any computer games?
They are often $10 less than other stores.

If you make just one purchase per year of a large item, you could easily save $50.

Even just buying food, you can easily save hundreds per year. Yes, they sell in large packages. But if you just buy non-perishable stuff, you will save money.

Heck, you could probably save $50 a year just on razor blades alone.

My costco membership has paid for itself 20x over atleast.

I tend to buy:

Meats
Eggs
Butter
Frozen foods
Lunch meats (huge packages for like $5)
Soups (campbells chunky 6-pack)
Shampoo
Soap
Kitty litter
Trashbags
Bread (store it in the freezer)
Toilet paper
Paper towels

And when my James Patterson books come out.. I can get them for $23 compared to the $45 at chapters

Gas at Costco is consistently $.05 pg less than others here. Depending on how much you drive and MPG, you'd break even just on gas alone.

I buy all kinds of stuff there. TP, paper towels, OTC medicine, books, DVDs, camping gear, dog food, stuff for my car, beer, jerky, laundry detergent, salmon, salsa, garbage bags, tissues, shampoo, egg substitute, sandwich baggies, etc.
I also do my photo processing (both film and digital) and get my prescriptions filled at Costco.
Once in a while I'll buy random stuff like a space heater or bar stools there as well.

Lately, I've been buying more produce (like fruit, broccoli, Romaine, Portabella mushrooms, etc.) because it's so cheap. I also have a Costco AmEx and I get very good rates on my car insurance through Costco.

Costco doesn't always offer the BEST deal in town on specific items but they always offer a GOOD deal on quality products and their return policy is awesome. They have good customer service, I took in some broken glasses that I didn't even buy there and they fixed them for free.
